Itís been a while since I tasted this, and when I looked at my notes it only said: just very good. Thatís what this beer is, itís nothing outraegious, just good.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep amber/orange colored ale with a thin-average white head. Aroma is full of grapefruit, fruity, with some sweet-sirup hints. Average sweetness taste with strong hoppy bitterness end. Cascade is one of my favourite hop, and this is a "not so original" IPA, but clearly very drinkable and enjoyable.

little aroma but great flavor and palate. this is a great ipa from mikkeller out of the single hop series. the centennial had a better aroma but lacked in flavor compared to the cascade in my opinion. the cascade is a well balanced ipa. cheers

On tap at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Copper-coloured, huge creamy and lacing head. Nice citrussy hop aroma. Good hoppy bitterness, grapefruity flavours. Very nice.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2 oz. bottle- I bought this thinking it was in date, the date says 08/01/11, but after purchase I researched it, that damn European dating format, it actually expired on january eighth of two thousand eleven, shit! Hopefully this doesnít affect my review much- Pours amber rusty with a nice off white head and good lacework, aroma is malty (is it the date issue?), I smell strong caramel malts, not a bad smell, but not what you want from a beer that is supposed to taste like a specific hop. The flavor is malty up front, followed by a nice bitterness, but then the aftertaste the malt takes over. This is still a nice tasting beer, and it would definitely taste better not aged past its prime, but still decent. If only I could drink it fresher.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not a bad IPA, much easier to take than the other two Mikkeller Single Hop brews Iíve tasted. Looks good, translucent and orange with a moderate head. The nose ainít bad at all, surprisingly citric with a yeasty back. Cascade tastes as prickly as a pine cone still on the tree, mixed with the flavor of the straw below. Okay, thatís hyperbole, but thereís a vein of pine tree in this bottle that threatens to grow roots. Still, this beer starts well enough, malty and sweet, then passes into an orange jam/lemon zest stage, both impressive in their passivity. But the finish is all Cascade Northwest green hoppy madness. Not bad, but strong. (5/20/09)

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
draft@Chez Moeder Lambic: bright, glowing orange with a big, fluffy head, big bold, fruity, citrus flavour, grapefruit, pine with a fruity sweetness & a very fitting medium bitterness, so that the bitterness doesnít get in your face but adds to the beer, love this kind of full, very round, almost creamy hop flavour, maybe not complex but the taste that it has is amazing and works perfectly, great dryness

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear amber with a medium beige head, very fine clinging lacing. Aromas of citrus, grass, hay, caramel, and a hint of dough. Medium body, smooth, zesty, spicy, and dry. Mild initial sweetness, with pepper and a tiny bit of grapefruit mid-palate, bold bitter lasting finish. Nice showcase of the depth of this popular hop varietal.
