Originally brewed by Mikkeller, Denmark. Recent batch brewed by Mikkeller at De Proef Brouwerij, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.
The third in the series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Cascade, a true American classic hop type. This hop is less powerful than the ones used in the previous two single hop IPAs - creating a great balance with the beers other aspects.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (cascade) and yeast.

Pours copper color with a medium sized head. Aroma of floral hops, exotic fruits, some caramel malts and grass. Flavor of hops, lots of fruits, mild caramel and hay. Bitter palate. Excellent

11.2oz bottle. Murky, glowing orange-red-brown body. Massive, steady off-white head. Nice bight grapefruit aroma. Cascade is really one of the greatest hops. Bold and full of bright grapefruit citrus, this is quite an enjoyable beer, though with the big malt and yeast presence I still think it is more of an APA. A pretty good beer, certainly, but not aggressive enough hopwise to warrant the pricetag.

Aroma has gooseberry bush, some citrus and hints of resin. Flavour has exotic fruits, hops, gooseberry bush, some pine needles and hints of nettles. Very good and rather rich for a single hop.

On tap at CBC, Clerkenwell. Bright copper color with a white head. Citrus, kind of funky/dirty smelling, but not sour really, just dirty. Super bitter, just kind of smacks you in the mouth with hops. Very interesting, mellowed out as it warmed a bit, lots more citrus flavor developed as well.

On tap at slowbeer. Deep orange pour with a thick off white head. Great lacing. Grapefruit/citrus dominant nose. Pine hops and citrus are dominant in the taste. Very hoppy bitterness. Citrus stays right through. Typical solid effort from mikkeller ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a murky copper color with a nice frothy head that lingers a bit. Smells like rum, very odd. Thereís also some floral and grassy hops that come through. Taste is just like it smells, a flowery rum. A bit of toffee and even mint seems to come through. Thereís a chance this bottle is old so Iím wondering if thatís why these odds flavors are here. Itís not terrible but I wouldnít drink again if this is actually a fairly fresh bottle.

Pours amber with a creamy head. Excellent hop aroma. Creamy and bitter with a hint of toffee. This is the perfect representation of cascade hops.

Draft at work. Pours cloudy rose-tinted orange, moderately thick cream coloured head, very spotty lacing. Nose is very grassy, with grapefruit, light clean cardboard and caramel notes are present here, as are notes of both mandarin and navel oranges. Flavours are moderately bitter, with notes of pine, grapefruit, and caramel. Decent, but itís not blowing my skirt up...

Nice well composed IPA again in this series. Cascade tends to have a big citrus and almost biscuity like flavor to me. The pour is a bright orange highlighted copper body with a moderate finger of yellow head. The nose is fresh and lemony with light pepper notes and a mild grainy malt. The flavor is somewhat out of balance with crisp Cascade flavor and mild bittereness on the finish. Overall, just a good IPA.

Pours amber with a large head. Nose shows heavy grapefruit, citrus and resinous pine. Also a fair whack of caramel. Aggressive flavours, with lots of grapefruit throughout. Some balancing clean malt. Pretty sharp, piny bitterness in the finish. Could use a lighter body.
