Bottle. Dark Amber pour, off white head. Sweetly malty with medicinal phenols. Ugh-- no doubt a spoiled bottle. Sad, as this single-hop series has been really good. Will try again if given the opportunity.

Panzerfaust (751) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - FEB 12, 2016
330ml bottle from Gallagher’s Beer World/El Irlandés. Pours a beautiful orange color with a big long lasting off-white head that laces well. Aroma is hoppy, green, with clear notes of kiwi, prickly pear, melon pear, lemongrass, green leaves, some tobacco and moss. Small hints of grainy malt with minor fruity peachy traces. Taste is reasonably bitter, bright and lively, with nice semi-sweet fruity counterbalance. Flavors of kiwi, soft citrus, peach, grass, leaves and some earth. Nice! Medium body, soft carbonation. Balanced. Mild short-lived aftertaste. A good, tasty IPA. Chinook is really well manifested. So far this one is the most expressive of the Mikkeller Single Hop series I’ve tried. Let’s see if the Simcoe one can surpass it.

Pours deep hazy amber with a big, creamy, yellowish head. Great duration. Aroma has fine hops, apricot, grapefruit, light red apple zest. Some crisp malts. Medium carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is elegantly hoppy, grapefruit, light piney, some apricot. Fine malty balance. Long, lovely, lingering bitterness. Nice.

Rich amber/orange color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of floral/herbal hops, caramel malt, & citrus; Flavor of sweet malt, caramel/toffee, pine hops, some fruit, and citrus (notably grapefruit); Finish is bitter; Nicely balanced; Overall, I was expecting a stronger pine/resin taste from the Chinook hops - solid though.
