3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Butters (3318) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUN 17, 2010Chill hazy burnt copper pour with large seafoam khaki head and sticky lacing. Nose is red apple, not diacetyl, with a hint of natural floral sweetness like an apple has. Flavor is much spicer than expected, with a semi-sweet lingering herbal bitterness. Good for learning about the hop. Not a particularly desirable beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 nygard67 (13) - NORWAY - JAN 11, 2013
Dark golden color with a nice head. This ale really celebrates the Chinook hop. A spicy citrus aroma although the ale shows signs of aging. I imagine this ale would fare even better with a fresher ale. Balanced malts to back it up - but it doesn’t steal any spotlight from the hop profile. A nice single hop.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Advocate_Ames (225) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 23, 2012
UPDATED: SEP 7, 2012 A superb scent of hops, caramel malts, and a fruit like twist. The caramel malts give off a sweetness that is soon put into check by the hops and a tart taste of fruit. The only negative I found is that this beverage seduced me by its innocence... and I found out quickly that the chinook single hop is not so innocent as it led me to believe. And that is why I enjoyed this brew ten fold.

Rich amber/orange color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of floral/herbal hops, caramel malt, & citrus; Flavor of sweet malt, caramel/toffee, pine hops, some fruit, and citrus (notably grapefruit); Finish is bitter; Nicely balanced; Overall, I was expecting a stronger pine/resin taste from the Chinook hops - solid IPA though.
