330ml bottle pours a hazy orange amber color with a huge off-white head that leaves some nice healthy lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus and earthy notes. Taste is big citrus hop bitterness like grapefruit with a bit of underlying malty sweetness. Not quite as balanced as some of the other single hop beers, but still a decent IPA.

Bottle from Beer Ritz, Leeds. Fetched over by Matt, cheers mate. Hazy amber pour with a decent creamy off white head. Juicy orange and hop present in the nose. Flavour had some sweet caramel malt notes alongside the prevailing citrus hoppage. Bitterness bob on. Fresh as a bastard daisy, soft, clean and delicate. Supremely drinkable. Wonderful beer that oozes finesse and is probably my favourite of the single hop series.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JEK69 (360) - FRANCE - FEB 14, 2012
This Citra pours "Citrus!" orange colour and hazy with a white foam head.
Citra hop variety is well named as it really smells "Citrus!" with a hint of "Citrus!" + some resine notes. It is not as smoothy as Simcoe or Amarillo Single Hop from Mikk, less bitter than Summit and less original than Sorachi. Like somethin "Citrus!" in between in Single Hop range dominated by "Citrus!" grapefruit aromas and ... ahh yeah, I almost forgot: "Citrus!"
