Bottle. Big head and golden appearance. Hoppy and very drinkable. Reaches the usual high standard from this brewer but not as outstanding as some I have tried.

Bottle: Poured a deep hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citra hops is quite dominant with some citrus and piney notes though the dill characteristics are not as present as I would have expected. Taste is also dominated by some citrus notes and light piney notes with some dry caramel malt and again the dill notes that I usually associated to Citra are hard to distinguish. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well brewed but Citra is not coming out as I had expected.

Citra pours out a dark orangey amber with a thick and dense yellowish beige head. tons of lacing on the glass. The nose I well hopped and pungent with a big acidic and citric aroma. Some sweetness and light caramel grains in the middle with a big grapefruit and lemon rind hop. A bit of caramelly goodness and some pine notes. Citra is a hop I’m
not very acquainted with, but this is pretty damn good. Overall, nice fruits and good bitterness but not a great resinous quality. Fantastic IPA!
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Davros (1477) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 22, 2012
Pours deep amber with a fading head.
Nose shows passion fruit, lychee, peach, pineapple and grapefruit. Some soft clean malt underneath.
Tropical fruit carries through as a flavour, with lots of grapefruit too. Fairly sharp bitterness. Could use more crystal malt.
Carbonation is a bit high.

On tap at La Bona Pinta in Barcelona. Pours a hazed, dull copper colored body with an inch thick, dense and creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is sweeter caramels with some bread and a good amount of juicy Citra hops giving off a nice citrus and a light tropical fruit. Flavor is similar. Lightly spiced citruses up front with some tropical fruits and a sweeter, bready caramel malt backing. Finishes dry and moderately bitter with a good amount of orange citruses and a balanced, sweeter caramel. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium, smooth body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid single hop IPA. On the sweeter side, but well balanced with plenty of fruity hops. Good beer.
