3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (8239) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 22, 2012
A hazed orange amber IPA with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, a vinous caramel malt with alcohol warmth and nice British hops, grassy and herbal. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with grassy and piney hops, resinous, with light citrus notes, veering in barley wine territory. Very nice. Bieropholie import, BB 11-11.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 swanmann (469) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - JUL 9, 2012
2011/12/20 - From the bottle, it’s very particulate, iced tea color with ample sticky tan head. Lots of grapefruit and citrus aroma with a touch of caramel. The flavor is bright citrus and finishes just a touch sour, highly acidic, the body thins quickly. The date on the bottle makes me think this is probably expired, doubt that’s when it was bottled. Full flavored but still refreshing.

330ml bottle pours a golden orangeish color with a big white head that retains well and leaves some thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is fruity with citrus hops and lightly toasted malts. Taste is slightly fruity with a solid malt background with a bold citrus hop bitterness. Medium body and lively carbonation. A tasty IPA that is highly recommended to try.
