Lush tropical aromas and flavors flow from this new to me and very unique hop. The fruits just pour from this thing and dont stop. Quite tasty, very drinkable. Really excites me for the simcoe.

2009 Bottle - Thanks jrob21! - Pours dense orange with a massive beige head...aroma is very earthy, farmy, sticky pine resin, tangerine...flavour is almost tropical, tangering, pineapple, the cherries that come in fruit cocktail that donít really taste anything like a cherry but have transcended and redefined "cherry"...lingering bitterness...def not a hop varietal that Iíd use for aromatics (though it does get better as it opens up), but the flavour is just beautiful...

Bright vibrant orange color, thick beige head, highly effervescent. Tropical citrus aroma; orange, grapefruit, kumquat. A shade over aggressive in the carbonation. Starts and ends bitter, long bitter aftertaste. Bitterness comes off like orange rind and somehow bitter squash. A little yeasty as well. Not the best IPA ever to pass through my lips, but damn can Mikkeller make a tasty IPA.

Pours with a golden orange body topped by a thick, foamy head with a good amount of lacing. Itís full of grapefruity hop notes with a little underlying malt. Medium bodied, well carbonated and smooth.

01/10/2009. 330ml bottle Hashigo Zake. Herb and dry gass at first. Berry fruit later (well spotted Dom). Caramel malt at the centre of this beer but everything hangs of it really nicely. Itís clean, itís bitter, itís fruity, itís balanced. Strong character. Much better use of Sauvin than Iím seeing out of NZ berweries... so far. Good boys.

Courtesy of jkwalking05. Clear amber with a frothy white head. Grassy hop aroma. Smooth medium body. Nice grassy hop flavors on a lightly sweet pale malt base.

Amber, orange colored brew. Hoppy, grapefruit, berries in the aroma. Flavor has got some very nice hop taste, these hops are really nice. Intense, but not aggressive. Hop flavor is not long lasting. This is an easy drinking and higlly enjoyable IPA.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2009 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy golden/amber, small head. Minty black currant aroma. Mid-sweet and medium bodied. Uncomplicated malt acting as support to the minty black currant hops. Lasting but unassaulting bitterness. Great IPA!

Thanks to jkwalking05. I agree with Cavie. I used to work at Callowayís Nursery, and itís about right on the aroma. Tastes like stale fruit and grain. Maybe some hops in the finish.
