4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle – Shared by ygtbsm94 . Thanks Brad! Hazy amber, light tan creamy head. Fresh grassy tropical fruit aromas warm to faint spruce and peach notes throughout. Full grassy fruity hop flavors are smooth and stable. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying bitter finish. If only this was in an affordable 6 pack…

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from Colorado Liquor. Pours hazy orangish amber with 3 finger thick and fluffy white head. Aroma is wonderful citrus and tropical fruit, some sweetness and floral hops. Flavor is bitter hops, caramel sweetness, tropical fruit, and some light citrus. Bit of spice in there to. A bit more carbonation than the rest of the IPA’s in this series. Nicely craft ale for sure.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
11.2 fl.oz. bottle@3 Små Rum, Göteborg. Big, fluffy near-white head. Cloudy, dark orangey-amber body. Delicious tropical fruit aroma; melon, sweet citrus, passion-fruit and apricot. Also a nice floral scent, and a whiff of mild spices. Taste has a strong fruity hoppiness, without being distinctly hop bitter. A fine, caramellish malt body in the background. Also some subtle spices, and a note of acidic fruits. Medium body strenght. Fruity hops lingers in the ending. A tasty fruitbomb!

Tasted in a sesion with the rest of the single hops.
Hazy orange look with a medium off white head. Aroma was the best of the five we had. Both fruity and floral with notes of mandarine, and peach, very exotic. Nice body with a toffe soft malt base that compliments the hops great. Flavor wasnt very bitter but soft and tastefull. Great ipa!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2013 Bottle. Unfiltered, bottle-conditioned, a little shook up and into the glass it pours heavily hazed burnt sienna with a beautifully rocky white head. Yeast-forward nose is extremely dusty, dry and minerally, while the hops are rough, acidic and caustic dried citrus peel with a heavy note of sweetened pine sap. Full body, excellent malt structure, excellent heft to carry the hop bitterness and acids from the yeast.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Still digging this series, please send more. Dark orange almost brown color with a quickly dissipating tan head that leaves s decent lacing down the glass. Intense floral aroma. Nice caramel malt backbone with some fruity floral hoppiness. A tad bit of grapefruit bitterness on the finish. There is a hint of some funkiness like blue cheese kind of flavors in here too. A little surprised at that. There is a bit of spicy pepper working along the way. Pretty tasty hop here and pretty tasty beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
In short: A basic caramel backbone with a complex floral, fruity and spicy hopping. Splendid
How: Bottle 12oz. Consumed fresh (a few months after bottling). Me-myself-and-I side-by-side tasting with all 5 Mikkeller Single Hop currently available (Cascade, Nelson Sauvin, Nugget, Simcoe, Warrior)
The look: Cloudy orange-amber body topped by a medium off-white head with low retention
In long: The nose is floral and fruity (apricots, tropical fruits). The tropical fruits character of the nose is what set the this one apart from the other five Single Hop bottles I had.
As with all five Mikkeller Single Hop beers the body is a little yeasty and the caramelized malts are a bit generic and restrained so that it purposely leaves all the flavour spectrum available to the hops. Taste has that nice fruity spiciness. I sometimes feel like Nelson Sauvin hops makes a non-rye beer feels as if it was made with rye and that’s the case here. Finish has a medium bitterness and a complex array fruity flavours along with a nice spiciness sensation. Like with all five Mikkeller Single Hop beers I’ve had, carbonation is a bit too aggressive and it kills some of the beer subtleties. It’s this super nice light herbal spiciness sensation that made this one my favourite of the five Single Hop I had, even the mouthfeel felt move lively. Drinking those five Mikkeller Single Hop simultaneously was even more educative than those anatomy web-sites I visit all the time.
