3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. The first thing I noticed upon pouring this brew was the totally excessive amount of carbonation. I know how to pour bottle conditioned beer and am successful all the time, but this bottle was almost impossible. On the upside, the millions of bubbles in my glass released a huge hoppy aroma for me to enjoy while waiting for the head to calm down. My friends at the beer store called this a "grapefruit bomb," and they were right. Lots of bitter citrus fruit in the aroma and also the flavor, paired with a subtle and sweet malt background. I did not detect the cat urine that some other reviewers describe. Despite the carbonation issues, this was a great IPA, very tasty and drinkable. However, at 5 or 6 dollars for a single 12oz bottle, I really expect something more substantial and magnificent. It’s nice to try it once, just to learn about different hops, but better IPAs are available at much lower prices.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 10, 2009 (Draught@Pikkulintu) Pretty much the same as the bottled version, but maybe slightly thinner in body. Nelson Sauvin is a good hop, but I found the Nugget version better for my taste. This is a bit too exotic in larger quantities.
(Bottled) Clear amber with a medium, fluffy head. Very exotic-fruity aroma with woody notes and strawberries. Flavor of exotic fruit and lemony-flowery-resiny hops, with Nelson Sauvin beautifully and pleasantly present, with enough body - and, most importantly, avoiding any cat-pee. Medium body, medium carbonation, even somewhat refreshing. Not mind-blowing, but a great sample of this interesting hop variety.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours with a large, foamy, off-white head over a nearly clear, penny hued body with good lace. Aroma is room filling with a nice aroma of hops that are both fruity and herbal with a nice, sticky caramel backing. Taste is bitter, with herbal and slight lemon notes. I would like to do some experimenting using this hop homebrewing (although not by itself). Lively carbonation and a dryish mouthfeel.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can you say liquid Fruity Pebbles! This is by far one of the fruitiest IPA’s Ive ever had. Loads of tropical fruit, candied citrus, wow. Uber-carbonation, not much pine and floral. Almost too fruity dare I say. Cant wait to actually brew with some Nelson Sauvin hops, but in balance

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pros: Excellent look. Naturally carbonated. Nose has some serious hop power with the Nelson Sauvin showing its mandarin orange and tangerine character. It takes on more of a peach character on the palate. Not a very floral or piney hop to me, but quite fruity. Nice expression of the hop. Fun to taste.
Cons: While it is unquestionably well brewed, I don’t like the hop, at least as the sole element in the beer. The fruitiness of the hop became overbearing for my palate, but it’s cool to know that hops can get this fruity.
