Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam, consumed at Kemmel campsite, Belgium, 09-06-09 Had this in the Mikkeller Single Hop tasting with Nelson Sauvin, Warrior, Simcoe and Cascade all up for the taste off. This poured hazy amber which really was the case for all of them. Touch of perfume followed by tropical fruits, quite excellent. Glorious tasting, wonderful interplay between exotic fruitiness and sweetness, nice soft mouthfeel. There is a subdued bitterness, its a superb beer, totally sexy. Its like a little taste of a caribbean cocktail for some reason, stunner. A9 A4 F9 P4 Ov18 4.4

copper with a huge rocky, whipped off-white head. monstrous wet, juicy, fruity hop aroma. lots of citrus(sweet mandarin orange syrup) but a bit floral as well. peachy citrus orange with some spiciness in the flavor. also a good bit of caramel malt for balance. tangy sweet tart. grape bubble gum. medium bodied and no harsh bitter bite in finish. i would love to sample all the single hops together someday. sounds like a good tasting experiment.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Orange body with rocky, lasting head. Nice prickly, hoppy taste. Grapefruit throughout. With pine in the finish. Lots of hops, so right up my alley. Well done.

Poured a large head that wanted to hang around a bit on a orangey body. Passionfruit then grapefruit in the aroma. Taste is mainly the hops, don’t notice much malt, not as intense as the last two single hop ipa’s but still quite good

Bottle courtesy of GMCC2181 – thanks G! Pours medium amber with a one finger fizzy 0ff-white head. The nose is malt and grapefruit. The taste is caramel and Ocean Spray pink grapefruit juice. Medium mouthfeel. Good IPA – thanks again G-Spot!

Tap. Gras aroma. Light earth and malt body with light notes of hops. Hop palate with notes of grass. Rather plain.

deep orange, thin head. Massive mandarin ana peach aroma, mango too. In the mouth, quite lively carbonation and fruity and liver-pate retronasals. Very sweet. Liver pate in the finish too. Not a patch on Beerhunters NZPA.

Murky copper color with a towering head. Really interesting hop aroma. A little like dried mangos, flowers, light grapefruit... I’d agree with most here who say ’tropical’. Much the same flavor. Lots of mango, papaya, some citrus. A little floral. Solid grain base. This is a really interesting hop variety. I hope we see more of it!

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a huge dark cream colored head. Tropical fruit and light white wine aroma. Tropical fruit, white wine, and light earthy flavor. Medium bodied. OK bitterness. Tropical fruit lingers with light earthiness and light white wine.
