COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

From tap@Ølbaren, Copenhagen. A thin greyish head covering a crystal clear, deep amber colored body. Resinous, citrus-fruity and spicy hop aroma. Lots of evergreen in the flavor; pine neddles and resin, also citrus zest and notes of flowers and earth. Subdued malt body. Mid-bodied. Long bitter finish. A very hoppy beer, appears a bit one-dimensional, still a nice treat.

A rather good IPA but not one to turn over my world as I know it. Bitter, of course, and very smooth, but not as special as some of the other beers by this brewery.

Draught, 6.9% at KØ09. Good grassy hop aroma. Cloudy dark orange colour. Small tan head. The flavour has a distinct hoppiness, but still mild and round. Hint of earth, not a problem, but unexpected. Good bitterness, does not show itself much until quite late. Rough and clean. Also good body, actually.

Tap @ Ølfestival, Valby, 2009.
Pours hazy amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has lots of fine hops, lightly fruity, lots of pine and flowers. A fair caramelly background. Dry and nice mouthfeel. Flavour is dy, lots of hops, caramel, pine and a touch of grapefruit. Good, but not nearly as good as some of the others.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazyorange color. Aroma is hoppy and fruity with lots of bitter tones. A bit sweet to. Taste is hoppy with some grape and sweet caramel. Not one of the better Mikkeller Single Hops.

Flaske: Igen et kæmpe skumhoved. Led en smule over at komme lige efter Sauvin Nelson varianten. Ikke så markant i duften, og en del mere bitter. Men udmærket øl.

Not as exciting as the Simcoe Single Hop offering, but tasty. Pours cloudy amber with grassy hops, and caramel sweetness. Finish not too long on this one.

Draught at Ørsted Ølbar & Ølbaren. Cloudy amber - white head. High bitterness, resin, grassy, pine needles, grape fruits, caramel, hop juice, light sweetness. Nice.

Pours a hazy reddish golden with a fine white head. The nose is rich with caramel, corn, yellow fruit, and a distinct green herbal note. In the mouth it begins moderately sweet, butter scotch, finishing in a broad bitter stroke that lingers well beyond the sweetness.
