3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Hazy brown. Intense perfumy piney nose. Sweetish and full bodied with ridiculous amounts of hops. Inky and orangey together with licorice. The bitterness grows to the proportions of a category-5 hop hurricane. Unbalanced, but that is no doubt the point with it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
aroma is hoppy to the point of being acid.
oily dark brown/orange look, not much head,
flavor is hoppy, citrus, hoppy hoppy,
overall : i never thought i’d one day say too much hoppiness, but this is the day. sort of unbalanced.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From tap. Pours hazy brown with a diminished white head. Baking yeasty and dense hoppy aroma. Flavour to is quite yeasty although with an extremely dominant hoppy simcoe flavour and bitterness. Bone dry and hoppy burning finish. But something went wrong with the yeast in this one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Draught) Opaque dark amber with a small, bubbly head. Aroma of lots of hops, along with lots of malt - resulting in slightly mushy, but still quite nice overall feel, despite the apparent hop sharpness. Hops and malt not spared in the flavor, either. Somewhat similar to Nögne #100, but more hop-accented. Medium to full body, very bitter and lowish-carbonated. Should age a while for best results, I guess. Much better than the non-imperial version, though.
