Aroma is citrus, pine and sweat. Flavor starts with a sharp bitterness and grassy notes followed by a dry grassy grapefruit bitter finish. Medium body has moderate carbonation. curly (770), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Pours hazy amber with a thick foamy off-white head. Sweet pine and citrus aroma. Taste is bitter resin but balanced well by malt. Great beer and I wish more brewers could make single hop beers this full flavored. Cletus (5062), Connecticut, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Hazy light copper body with a medium khaki head on top. The aroma was grapefruit and almonds. There was also a strong grainy component, but not in a bad way, more like fresh bread dough and dandelions. The taste is strongly bitter with grapefruit and romaine lettuce. The bitterness is balanced with a little bit of biscuit and some burnt toast. Good, but not great. snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Bottle. Tasted alongside their SH Cascade and Warrior. Pours hazy copper/amber with a nice off-white head. Huge aroma of funky grapefruit/pine, with a little cotton candy and green apple buried underneath. Tastes mostly the same. Medium-bodied and smooth with a nice citrus hop finish. Probably the best of the bunch for me, but it was neck and neck with the Cascade. Butters (1689), Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Shared with curly and tyler at the first brewday. Pours a chunky hazy orange with good khaki head. Pine, citrus, orange, pineapple, and cat pee! Though, the cat pee is not as pungent in the aroma as I had expected. Much more complex than I had expected for a single hop. skortila (2915), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 13, 2009 Bottled. Aroma has a lot of strong grapefruit and other citric fruitiness, some malts as well. Hazy, orange coloured beer with an off-white, lasting head. The taste is bitter, quite crisp, bit harsh, has citrus hops and some pine. Some smooth maltiness there. Medium bodied. Very great IPA. PaulHegedus (470), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 12, 2009 Bottle. This is a cloudy orange amber colour, slightly cloudier than the Warrior Single Hop IPA with a wonderful foaming two to three inch head. The lacework is cobweb-like. You can smell wonderfully fresh hops as soon as the bottle is opened. The aroma is full of fresh fruit, especially ruby red grapefruit, other strong citrus fruits with some more distant grass. It has little to none of the wood and earthiness of the Warrior IPA. The mouthfeel is medium, slightly oily. I taste some bread, malt followed by grassy hops and reasonable bitterness. Fruit flavour comes later in a bitter hop wave of white, slightly sour grapefruit and a long bitter hop finish.
