Cloudy amber/orange pour with a yellowish head that sticks around. Lots of a resinous vegemite hopiness on the nose with lots of caramel and a really grainy note. Lightish body. Fairly nondescript. Quite possibly past its prime at the time of drinking.

Cobriza, oscura, turbia con posos. Consistente espuma que no se pierde y queda pegada al vaso. Aroma a pino. Buen cuerpo, aceitosa. En boca cítrica y amarga.

11.2oz bottle. Redder body than some of the other Mikkeller Single hop beers. Floaties galore, sort of disturbing. Big frothy off-white head. A pretty smooth hop, I think of Simcoe as the bridge between NW hops and Australian/NZ hops. Mild tropical tones, The creamy, overly yeasty body is once again distracting. I would suspect oxidation, with the SImcoe hop being strong enough to ride it out. Almost finishes like a creamy Red IPA. Mild carbonation, almost a firkin feel. Enjoyable, but maybe not the most telling beer of the series.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly cloudy. orange marmalade colour with a thin white long-lasting head and some broken lace. The aroma is rich and hoppy. The flavour is medium bitter, hoppy and a little spicy. The bitterness goes right to the palate and lingers in the aftertaste. A well drinkable beer but I prefer a bigger combination of flavours, but that’s a single hop beer for you.

[Comparison between Mikkeller Single Hop Amarillo, Simcoe and Warrior]
Slightly hazy medium to dark amber body with an off-white, very long-lived head that reduces to a layer with some additional build-up at the walls, good lacing. The aroma is strong, refreshing and heavy hoppy with lots of very sweet overripe fruity notes. Also distinctly catty. A bit more complex than the aroma of Amarillo, but also less refreshing due to the overripe fruits and the cat. Light to moderate sweet taste with a heavy to moderate bitter finish. The overripe fruits are present in the flavours as well, also overripe strawberries. Finally some grapefruit and the little kitty. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, light dryness in the finish. A lovely IPA.
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 14 months before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours clear amber with an off-white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, pepper, and caramel. Flavour is caramel, grapefruit, and citrus – with quite a dry finish.

Poured from 12oz bottle, immediate hop aroma. Head is thin white, fading quickly... not as fresh as it should be tasted. Background flavors are minimal, the hop taste is clean and well presented. Slightly sweet and

Cloudy, muddy orange pour, very little head. It looked pretty ordinary - but malt, pine, stone fruit and citrus aroma made up for that. Very earthy flavour with stone fruit, some lingering sour grapefruit. A very interesting beer

330ml bottle from Nina’s Mini Market. Cloudy reddish amber brown colour, big foamy head. Resin hop aroma. Grapefruit hop flavour. Citrus aftertaste. Good IPA.
