3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
amber coloured beer with a big, off-white head. The aroma is very intensive, like mango, pine and citrus, itís also earthy. The taste is sweet then bitter. Itís also biscuit-like. The finish is long and dry.

So my friend told me about this new style of beer called Ipa, figured Iíd check it out. Bottle. Hazy deep amber white head. Nose is pine, papaya, pineapple, garlic, tobacco. Doesnít veer into hop petrol territory. Flavour-wise it blends toward citrus with a bit of onion. I like the choice of malts for this, clean but not flakey, thereís still a punch. Good choice for displaying a hop. Demisec finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Delirium Hoppy Loft in Brussels. Cloudy orange
Nose: sweet citrus, orange, some pineapple. Initially quite subtle, but developing towards a solid 8 later on with some very pleasant passion fruit coming through. You have to give it time to open up.
Taste: bitter (but not OTT), spicy, honey and a bit tropical
