Label on photo is wrong. The first in a new series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Simcoe, known from many great US micro-brews. An extremely fresh-hopped IPA.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (simcoe) and yeast.

amber coloured beer with a big, off-white head. The aroma is very intensive, like mango, pine and citrus, itís also earthy. The taste is sweet then bitter. Itís also biscuit-like. The finish is long and dry.

So my friend told me about this new style of beer called Ipa, figured Iíd check it out. Bottle. Hazy deep amber white head. Nose is pine, papaya, pineapple, garlic, tobacco. Doesnít veer into hop petrol territory. Flavour-wise it blends toward citrus with a bit of onion. I like the choice of malts for this, clean but not flakey, thereís still a punch. Good choice for displaying a hop. Demisec finish.

330ml from Bow Bar Edinburgh smell s like a Pina Colada which I find outrageous and Iím considering how to emulate this!

Bottle at Delirium Hoppy Loft in Brussels. Cloudy orange Nose: sweet citrus, orange, some pineapple. Initially quite subtle, but developing towards a solid 8 later on with some very pleasant passion fruit coming through. You have to give it time to open up. Taste: bitter (but not OTT), spicy, honey and a bit tropical
