Label on photo is wrong. The first in a new series of single hop IPAs from Mikkeller. Brewed with Simcoe, known from many great US micro-brews. An extremely fresh-hopped IPA.
Ingredients : Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (simcoe) and yeast.

Hazy reddish orange pour with foamy 2 finger head. Was on a discount shopping cart.Seemed skunky at first but that is changing. Aroma seems meaty/B-vitamins probably due to poor storage.Hop is subtle with a malty breadiness, there is some dankness as it warms.Im gonna say aroma is herbal/floral so far,i smell malt more it seems so its had its time probably.4$ a bottle is not much of a discount for a poorly stored beer. Taste had a little belgian at first but that faded quickly, its full bodied with a dark carmel roasty dry malt with a bit of raison sweet hop and a spicy linger of a bitter. The bittering isnt too strong but its more of spicy bitter.Im shure i would think different if i had a fresher better stored bottle, how unfortunate.

10/III/15 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: n/a (2015-353)

Clear dark orange to amber beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, fruity, caramel, malty, pineapple, bit resinous, sugary touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: citrus, nice bitterness, lots of grapefruit, very fruity, some caramel malts.

Aroma is pine, dank (Simcoe) hops and fresh yeast. The flavor is hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit pine needles, malts and a very bitter finish. Definitely looking forward to when Mikkeller gets the old Alesmith brewery, their fresh IPAs made in the U.S. are awesome.

Very dry pine aroma and flavor, a very good American style IPA that stands up to examples of the style in this country.

Del superbo Mikkeller, questa ipa ambrata con poca schiuma è davvero eccezionale. equilibratissima, luppolata senza sfociare nell’amarezza eccessiva che a me non piace, intensi ma controllati sapori e aromi erbacei. Assolutamente pollice in su.

Keg at BD Shep Bush. Super fresh and super tasty. Oddly malty for a mikkeller ipa but the fruit just rides it out and keeps on ridin’. Grapefruits on holiday in the tropics with tangerine jousting with marmalade. Top.

Keg at Brewdog in Shepherd’s Bush, London. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, grapefruit, pine, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, pine, grapefruit, caramel, slightly dry and bitter. A quality IPA.

Orange cloudy colour, ok head on top which dissolves quite fast. Aroma is really nice, there is tropical fruits, citrus and lemon and some mango. Taste is quite bitter, with sweet fruits and citrus. Medium body with medium carbonation. Simcoe is a nice hop variety, but single hop IPAs are rarely past the ’nice beer’ point.
