(11.2oz bottle) Murky orange body with a towering off-white, stiff head; leaves a web of bubbly lace on the glass. The hoppy aroma smells like a delicious grapefruit; notes of orange, pine, some grass; citrus peel; sweet malt underlying the hops. There’s also some kind of floral, almost rose aroma happening too. Couldn’t wait to taste it. Medium bodied, not much carbonation; oily texture. Flavor is low-profile at first, some mild sweetness, definite caramel. But then the citrus hop flavor opens up. Very clean, clear hop character--perhaps from having only a single hop? The caramel malt returns in the aftertaste to mingle with the hops.

8/16/2009 3:42:27 PMBottle from BierKoning. Orange body with thin, hazy head. Hoppy nose. Taste of hops - lots of ’em - pine, grapefruit and citrus. Quite smooth. Oranges and malts too. Nice, prickly texture. Enjoyable.

Legit malt bomb through and through... and this was a fairly fresh can. Seriously disappointing. The aroma is all caramel malt and booze. The flavor is the same with very little noticeable bitterness or hop flavor. Pass...

Amber colour, cloudy, with thick brown cap. Rather strong hoppy aroma. Refreshing and sharp taste at the same time.

Really really nice with a pepper hop sting - lovely big head with a ballsy amber hue

12oz can. Pours deep gold, white head. Aroma is dank malt, sweet caramel, nothing special. Flavor is grassy and piney hop, dominating the flavor... No citrus. Frankly weak beer.

Dark amber with a thick white head. Malty caramel smell with little hop aroma. Well balanced between earthy, grassy hops & toffee malts. An easy drinking IPA. Rated by BrewTom

12oz can. Dark golden color with one finger head. Earthy, with some sweet citrus coming through on the aftertaste. Pretty good.

Bottle from Plonk. Single hop IPA - simcoe, aroma is earthy, woody citrus hop. Moderate bitterness, not so bitter for an IPA, and it works well. Bitterness is clean, not harsh, and doesn’t linger too long. Nice IPA and displays the simcoe well.
