Gerbeer (1788) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 6, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with full head. Aromas of dill, tropical fruit, and light caramel. Flavors of limes, dill, resin, grass, and a bit of solvent. Late and long bitter finish. Interesting but odd.

Small bottle. Cloudy amber, white head. Nose is dill all the way, a bit of pine and tropical fruit in the background. Flavour is dill, malt is solid, refreshing and not in-your-face but has substance. Lovely, sorachi is a bit of a novelty, but one from pickle heaven.

330 ml bottle from Õllepood Nr. 1 in Tartu. Pours slightly reddish amber with a small head. Aroma is quite fruity - it has some green apples, fresh fruitiness and sweet marmalade. Taste reveals more of that bitter-sweet marmalade, some cherries as well. I like the balance between this lingering bitterness and malt character that this beer so well displays. Nice and enjoyable usage of that Japanese hop variety, one of the best results I have experienced. Aftertaste dries the mouth, has some grape-seed and some fruits. Nice and fully enjoyable!

Bottle. Unclear deep orange with a thick good lacing foamy off white head. Aroma is citrus, dill, coconut, caramel. Taste is medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Long bitter hoppy finish.

Strong aroma, first taste bitter malt, but this hop also comes with some sweetness. Definately a good single japanese hop bomb! ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

Pours amber with a big white head which lasted until the end of the beer. Big hoppy start which mellows into a fruity/malty/sweet apple/strawberry middle. Then it goes all hoppy on the finish again

Bottle from Perfect Pour. Pours dark brown with an inch of off white head. Leaves a ton of lacing in the glass. Maybe a slight fruitiness on the nose. Has a bit of not much on the tongue. Maybe this would have been more and more awesome fresh but not such much now.

11.2oz bottle - pours dark inner grapefruit withorange-ish head. Nose is rye and citrus. Very earthy and a bit spicy. I was expecting something spicy in the heat department. Medium to big body. Grapefruit aftertaste. Not that hoppy but probably due to the age.
