Very overbitter. Great aroma. The alcohol is in the flavor more than expected. Nice color and good mouth feel. There is a reason for using different hops so hard to fault it for being a bit off on hop balance.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep amber/cognac colour with a tall, yellow/tan head...lots of floaties.
Scent is sweet, caramel apple.
Taste is sweet, bready and caramel with a strong, bitter hop end....
A great learning experience to sample the individual nuances of various hop varieties...great series of beers.

Aroma is musty and bitter., with a Belgian element to it. The flavor is similar to the aroma, with a long and grassy/bitter finish.

Quite an old beer, had some apple like scents. Taste is still bitter, would like a fresh one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2oz bottle. Poured hazy copper color with a thick white head that left nice lacing and lots of sediment. Big piney and resinous hops aroma. Taste was a mix of earthy grains, crisp grapefruit and orange citrus notes, and a bitter splash of hoppiness across the back of the tongue. Long peppery finish that was very bitter and dry.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A lightly hazed amber IPA with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, a sweet vinous caramel malt with musty notes and smooth citrus hops. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with treacle and vinous notes, nice musty and piney hops, very well balanced with the malt. Delicious, even if 1 year past its "prime". Bieropholie imports.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured into a tulip glass. Deep amber color with three fingers of head. Excessive and overflowing head.
Smells like overripe grapefruit and lemon... a little honeycomb. A muted smell overall, no sharp or dominant smells.
A good bitter taste, solid at first and then gives a little to the malt, but finishes strong. Lasting bitterness.
Medium body, low to moderate carbonation.
I like the idea of Mikkeller’s single hop beers to showcase each hop variety. Points for that. This particular one had a poor appearance but the rest was good. The Warrior has a great taste by itself, which makes this an enjoying drink.

This one was OK....still not great. A fun experiment, but nothing to write home about. This is a beer geeks beer only....just to see just how much hops add to a beer

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a straw color. No head at all. Hints of apricot. Weird berry flavor with bitterness in the finish.
