Pours copper color with a medium sized head. Aroma of floral hops, exotic fruits, caramel and malts. Flavor of hops, fruits, caramel, some toffee and mild malts. Decent.

Up there with the bravo as one of the better single hop IPAs. Still lacks complexity in the flavour profile but really good still.

Aroma is rather hoppy with exotic fruits, some gooseberry bush, hints of nettles and caramel. Flavour is rather hoppy with lots of exotic fruits, some biscuits, grapefruit and caramel. My favourite of the SH series.

[Comparison between Mikkeller Single Hop Amarillo, Simcoe and Warrior]
Slightly hazy medium to dark amber body with an off-white, very long-lived head that reduces to a layer with some additional build-up at the walls, good lacing. The aroma is strong, refreshing and heavy hoppy with lots of slightly overripe fruity notes, but also additional herbs and grass. Light sweet taste, heavy to moderate bitter finish. The flavour profile is also less fruity and more herby and resinous than the flavour of Amarillo and Simcoe. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, light dryness in the finish. A very nice IPA, but I like the two other a bit better.

Bottle, Gift from S.J. Nice ipe with a definite grapefruit presence. Add in toast, caramel malt, some burnt flavors and you have yourself an interesting IPA.

10/12/10 on the cap and bought just a few days ago. Aroma has a strong earthy malt presence with some light notes of raisin. Hops adds a light pine and resin nose but isn’t much. Stronger resin and pine flavor to start, with a light grassy bitterness in the middle. The light caramel sweetness cancels out some of the bitterness. Beer has a lot of fizz to it, light body and a light dryness in the finish. Overall the brew is good. I wonder if the age has effected this brew a bit as the hops isn’t as prevalent as I would of expected.

On tap at Archive. This was one chewy beer and took a bit to get through. Strongly hopped with a resinous aftertaste left in the mouth, it almost coated the tongue. I would like to try this again as my first beer of the day instead of the last.

Nice fruity, candied syrup nose. Appearance is an opaque orange with nice white head. Taste is honey and candied syrup. Palate is hoppy but bitter too. Overall, nice.

Very overbitter. Great aroma. The alcohol is in the flavor more than expected. Nice color and good mouth feel. There is a reason for using different hops so hard to fault it for being a bit off on hop balance.
