33cl bottle dated 10/12/10 (i think) on the cap from IPB. Pours hazy pale amber with an abundant foamy head that retreats slowly leaving extensive lacing on my glass. Nice looking stuff. Nose is piny sweet citrusy hops. Hops are present but not in a "in your face" way. Some fruits are also in there. Passion fruit maybe. Taste is nicely hoppy and bitter. Hops are quite herbal and earthy as well as a bit grassy and sticky. Some sweet maltiness is also present. Finish is quite bitter leaving the mouth very dry. Bitterness gets more discrete with time leaving the place to a more sweet/fruity profile. Overall this is very tasty, drinkable, refreshing and enjoyable. Not so complex but just right on spot.

Clear amber with a tiny off white head. Loads of hops in the aroma with pine and grapefruits. Flavour had loads of hops, pine and grapefruits. Finished bitter.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a cloudy, particulate filled orange-copper colored body with a dense and creamy, dirty beige, inch thick head that dissipates slowly and leaves a good amount of sticky lacing. Aroma is full of flowery hops and rose pedals. The warrior hops are pretty complex. Along with the flowers, there is some lemony pine sol, pineapples, peaches, apricots, and some juicy herbal notes. The malts leave a light caramel sweetness that allow the hops to clearly shine. A touch of nutty toast and biscuit along with a light resin. Flavor is sharper than I anticipated. Lots of sweeter citrus fruits with a mild acidic resin. The hops dominate again with a light caramel, biscuity malt sweetness. A little more earthy than the aroma, but still maintains a flowery flavor. Finishes with a light to moderate herbal bitterness, some sour and tart acidity, plenty of juicy citrus, a light pine, and a touch of toasted malt sweetness. Medium body with a moderate carbonation and a fairly lengthy aftertaste. A bit sticky and oily. Overall, the aroma seemed to have a better balance and complexity than the flavor to me. The warrior hops seemed jumbled at times and despite the expectation of big citrus flavors, it had a slight sourness that put me off just a bit. Not completely out-of-whack, but it kept me from rating this higher. Despite that, it was rather enjoyable.

On tap at Beer Temple. Light hazy orange colour, white head. Aroma of strong hops, Brussels sprouts. Flavour is light malty, a bit of caramel, and a whole lot of bitterness. Some cabbage and sprouts qualities, which aren’t the finest. Medium bodied.

Whether this beer hasn’t travelled well, which, seeing as I live in Australia, is entirely possible, I couldn’t help but think that there may have been something a little wrong. Aroma slightly chemically. But through that, a certain pungency that can only be Warrior. Flavour is slightly malty, then a big whack of hop bitterness & flavour. Well, interesting idea. Would like to try it fresher, but not bad for a contract job.

Cloudy golden orange, long lasting large off-white head, excellent lacing.
Aroma is peppery, some orange jam, yeasty with a slight sourness.
Flavour has some peppery spice, moderate bitterness, oranges, rather sweet.
Bitter mouth, med body, mod carb.
Finishes dry, spicy, highly bitter.

Rough compared to the Simcoe, quite bitter.

330ml bottle purchased at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York.

Opened on August 3, 2009.

Best before December 12, 2010.

Bottle:   Pale caramel, dirty and hazy, large frothy off-white head, clingy lacing.   Nose is a bit sweeter than the Simcoe.   Hoppy, citrusy, tangy, but sweeter.   Sweet pixie stix like flavor on the tongue.   Certainly has a hop aspect but its minor compared to the candied sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. Sweet citrusy finish.   Almost more of a Pale Ale than an IPA given its lack of IPA like bitterness.   Otherwise a sweet example of the style, entertaining, especially if you like your IPAs on the sweet side.
