0,33 l bottle, Brewdog Online Store.
Black as liquirice, small tan head. Moderated aroma of herbs, some roasted grains, liquerice, lurking hops. In the flavor this beer is rather a belgian dubbel than a black IPA. Some roasted grains, fruity esters. The beer needs more and more hops. Fine, but not a black IPA.

Appearance: Clear brown with dark ruby highlights and finger thick tan head. Aroma: Pine, grapefruit, orange, bread/toast and malty. Taste: Medium bitterness, low sweetness and low/medium sourness. Palate: Thick coarse texture, light body, prickly carbonation, lingering slightly dry, bready citrus finish. Comments: Tasty and glass lace.

Pours deep ruby reddish with beige medium top, soapy-frothy light lasing. Aroma - almost none, far away old maturation or something plus some perfume. Weird to experience flavor of nothing. Taste is light sweet with light bitter and min sour touch. Dry finish.

Bottle with Linh. Pours a deep brownish body with thick light brown lacing. Aroma is somewhat funky, earthy pine and raisin bread. Mouthfeel is medium and soft with notes of bready fruit, malt, light banana bread, pine hop and resin.

Look: equal thick 2 thumb high off white foam; very slow retention, stays on top. Dark brown/black color, some subtle amber notes. Looks delicious. Lots of lacing, couple of yeast float around. Hard to see any carbonation.

Smell: Piney, herbs, citrus, grapefruit, woody/cedar maybe some fruity hops. Then comes the roasted, sweet, little creamy malt. Good balance. Some hints of tart, dark chocolatish.

Taste: Grapefruit, lime go to roasted sweet, caramel middle malt (intensity of malt taste rises with temperature). After with good balance of piney and roasted bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium body, crisp carbonation, still kinda silky, dry finish. Alcohol undetected, stupidly easy to drink - i like.

Overall: Gets better every sip/degree of temperature. Good dark IPA, easy to drink; what stands out is the balance - neither hop nor roasted malt stand out or overwhelm.

Schokoladenmalziger Antrunk, der blumige Hopfen ist gleichauf. Süßlich, süffig, vollmundig. Dann steigende Kaffeenoten, sowohl hopfiger als auch herber werdend, sehr süffig. 11/12/12/12/7/12
