Draft to taster. Looks decent; a murky chocolate with thin off-white/very light beige head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells of dark malt and bitter hops with a bit of booziness. Tastes like it smells with a bit of dark chocolate too. Solid on the palate. Enjoyable.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, schokoladig, Kaffee, hopfig bitter. Geschmack röstmalzig, bittere Schokolade, Kaffee, fruchtig herb, bitter.

A really bitter ipa. Tastes like malt on the finish. Very carbonated and ha a bubbly finish. Overprice for sure. Had at home. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint at ei8ht ball - in a can shaped glass. Nose is pine and almost mint. Sip adds dark malts and citrus notes. More on the IPA side of the side leaving the black out in the cold. Bitter indeed. Not my favorite for the style. Dry on the finish. Down the hatch!

Draft. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex toasted malt & earthy hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer

Pours bubbly black with a tan head. Looks like coca cola except with some sediment. Aroma is not that strong, malts in the background but mostly some citrus fruit. Slick mouthfeel, the tingyness of the co2 is just right for me in this one. Bitter taste of an IPA as expected, but lacks the hoppy part. I think there’s something lemon in the taste also. I am not a big fan of the black IPA style but this wasn’t anything like the ones I’ve had before (which is not that surprising for a Mikkeller beer). Anyway, this one sounded decent, looked really good, but the result was lacking for me.

Bottle - dark brown with large beige head. Roasted malty, chocolate, fruity with notes of hops. Similar in the taste with grapefruit and liquorice, nice hops. Medium to full bodied, softly carbonated. Nice.

Bottiglia. Colore marrone scuro, schiuma compatta e duratura. L’aroma più che sull’agrumato tende sul resinoso e sul biscottato. Se al naso non sembra niente di che, al palato invece rivela un equilibrio e una bevibilità notevolissima, con un bel retrogusto amaro.
