Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade 8BC, kld., DK-1655 Copenhagen, Denmark.

Unclear dark brown brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted - chocolate, moderate to heavy dark berry, raisin - plum, prune, raisin in rum, sour redwine grapes. Flavor is heavy sweet, moderate to heavy acidic and vinegar with a long duration, tart, sharp, alcohol - rum, raisin marinaded in rum. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic - rum. IMO a bit young, sharp and to sweet. [20100507]

From tap at MikkellerBAR. Pours murky dark brown with a fully gone head. Aroma is marzipan and sour winegrapes. Acidic and dense fruity flavoured. Dry marzipan like and cherry fruity. Phenolic and sweet fruity into a complex wooden, sulphorish, cherry, raspberry and winegrapes finish. Lasting acidic and sulphorish dry fruity finish.

Draft. An unclear brown beer with no head. The aroma has strong notes of cherries as well as some notes of wine, wood, and grapes, somewhat cloying. The flavor is sour with notes of malt, cherries, and wood, the acidity draws out the mouthwater before the tart finish sets in. The body is extremely thick.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen on two consecutive nights Dark brown, no head. Cherryish nose with plenty of acidity. Sweet, despite the acidity with dense full body. Sour carameland sweet syrup. Feels heavy and compact. peppery alcohol plays a significant part and adds further burn to the stinging sourness. A beer with everything at once, yet not much complexity. A very interesting experment, but I don’t know what to do with such a beer. A tough beer to rate - like no other beer I’ve tasted, but in the end I figure I just don’t like it.

On tap at Mikkeller. It’s a flat, dark brown and unclear beer, no head. Higher alcohols, paint thinner and vinegar on the nose, lots of rum soaked raisins, and a touch of cherry too. The flavor has rum soaked raisins, a little roasted touch, lots of alcohol, especially towards the end, and an acidic vinegar flavor. Some solvent too. Really long finish with alcohol and rum raisins. Full to medium body, dry. An extreme beer, sort of nice, but too much on the extreme side. 100508
