Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Reddish black, beige rim, no head. intriguing aroma of both leather, tar and smoke, folowed by a taste with a tartnes, some wet dirt and forrset berries. Not at all knowing wahat´s going on here, the brew stries me as a Imp. Stout on a Marsala trip. Very complex and extremly interesting.

From tap at MikkellerBAR. Pours murky dark brown with a fully gone head. Aroma is marzipan and sour winegrapes. Acidic and dense fruity flavoured. Dry marzipan like and cherry fruity. Phenolic and sweet fruity into a complex wooden, sulphorish, cherry, raspberry and winegrapes finish. Lasting acidic and sulphorish dry fruity finish.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Cph.
Pours muddy brown with a small, frothy, off-white head that soon fizzes away. Aroma is crazy! Plums, red apple, sourness, blue grapes, tannins, black currants, oak. High carbonation, great dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of sweetness, caramel. But also lives up to its name, black currant tartness, very vinious, almost menthol-like, raisins, grapes. Almost out of proportion and difficult to compare to anything, let alone the RB scale. Fabolous, but also crazy as f..k.

Had this one @ CBF 2010. Dark mahony colored brew. Plums and raisins in the aroma. Sourness, plums and raisin in the flavor. Boozy and vinous. Very nice.

Draft. An unclear brown beer with no head. The aroma has strong notes of cherries as well as some notes of wine, wood, and grapes, somewhat cloying. The flavor is sour with notes of malt, cherries, and wood, the acidity draws out the mouthwater before the tart finish sets in. The body is extremely thick.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade 8BC, kld., DK-1655 Copenhagen, Denmark.

Unclear dark brown brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted - chocolate, moderate to heavy dark berry, raisin - plum, prune, raisin in rum, sour redwine grapes. Flavor is heavy sweet, moderate to heavy acidic and vinegar with a long duration, tart, sharp, alcohol - rum, raisin marinaded in rum. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic - rum. IMO a bit young, sharp and to sweet. [20100507]
