The color is hazy pink to light red. The nose has lots of cherries and oak influence along with lemony and tart aromas. The texture is oily with a soft but present carbonation. The flavours are like a mix between a lambic and an oud bruin; vanilled oak, sour cherries, almonds and citric tartness. Most enjoyable. The relatively high alcohol level is well hidden and the aftertaste is brings more of the tangy tartness, big cherries and soft oak. Better than the rating avg. suggest..

Bottle. Clear red with a minimal white head. Acetone, cherries, quite lactic sour, wood, marzipan, black berries. Medium body, medium sweet, no bitterness, light dry finish. Warming alcohol and long lasting sour impression. Pretty intense stuff, a bit like a mix between flemish red and kriek x2 and the small 25cl bottle is enough for me. A small flying animal just drowned himself in my glass. What a way to go.

25 cl bottle @ home. Pours amber/bronze with no head at all, totally flat. Really acidy on the nose, some light cherries and currants as well. Taste is balsamico, red berries and light grains. A bit to acidy for me. More like a Sour Red than a Wild Ale.

Bottled. Pours clear, ruby with a small pink head. Aroma of sour cherries, spicy notes, wood and vinegar. Sweet, sour flavor that ends up tart. Light to medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carb. A nice sour.

250 ml bottle sampled in 2011. Murky looking orange body with a small and fast disappearing white head. Aroma is acidic fruity with hint of acetone. Flavor is very sour, acidic, vinegar with cherry. Feels a bit thin in body and aftertaste is mostly acidic with some cherry flavor. A bit difficult to place this one, I’m able to appreciate a really sour beer, and it’s actually quite interesting for a few sips, but much to sour for anything close to balance. Not able to drink much of this, and that’s actually a bad sign.

180 ml bottle.
Pours a murky brown amber colour with a small head. Aroma is very tart with recognizable Cantillon aromas, cherries, oak and some chocolate. Flavour of toasted malts, cherries, strong wood, alcohol, biscuit and strong vinegar notes. Cantillon barrel brings an interesting tone to this beer, both gueuze- and fruit lambic -wise. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a long, lingering sour, woody and cherryish finish. Has some slight similarities with RR Consecration. Elegant.

Bottle from Mikkeller & Friends bottle shop. The pour’s red with a small off-white head. The nose is tart vinegar, balsamic, strawberry, pennies, sugary sweetness. The taste is rotting cherries, more strawberry. Fruit by the Foot sweetness. Acetic tang, lip-puckering finish. Light body, soft carbonation. Aggressive. Overall, pretty decent stuff.
