Massive Mikkeller pt.2. A great beer I thought I’d never be able to land, but I guess I got lucky. Great sour aroma with hints of cherries. Very tart and fruity flavor. All around amazing!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
250 ml bottle. Reddish brown and hazy. No head to speak of. Acidic vinegary nose with hints of oak and cherries. Nail polish. Vinegary oak flavours once it enters the mouth. Prickling on the tongue. Surprisingly sweet, but there’s enough acidity to counterbalance this. Lots of vinegar in the aftertaste. Really nice in fact. Bottle is big enough as it’s a little challenging to drink, but it is quite complex and intriguing.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle) Pours cloudy peach orange red with a small, big bubbly off-white head. The aroma holds aggressive notes of acid, poo, glue, sweat, rotten fruits, overripe, yet super acidic red berries, vinegar and light malt. The nose is hard and edgy without any finesse. The flavor is light sweet and medium to heavily acidic. Almost no bitterness. Like throwing up backwards. Cherries, acid, citrus, vinegar, lacto, light cheese, light malt and unripe green apples. YThe flavor is super tart and fairly slim with light carbonation. Super “throwing up-like” finish. Medium bodied.

Hazy red with a minimal head. Very sour and fruity nose with vinegar, spices and wood. The taste was really dry and sour, an excellent beer in my opinion. Long sour aftertaste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to yespr for that one. Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass brownish-red, small head. Fruity-sourish aroma. Starts very fruity like cherries, more and more sour and less fruity. Woody notes in the finish. The fruity notes could last a bit longer, still an interesting beer!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Muddy red colour with no foam at all. Strong aromas of fruits, some cherries and other berries. The nose is not very sour but overpowering with alcohol and something sweet and sticky, almost like acetum. Full bodied with and very boozy. Some sourness coats my mouth.. Not really my cup of tea I like my sour ales lighter.
