4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
I won’t give Mikkeller the credits here. It’s De Proefbrouwerij work, and their expertice that gave this beer it’s great taste. This is a really great lambic, clean and complex at the same time.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Draft at Khyber Pass. Poured a hazy orangish copper with only a slight white ring. In balance feels overly sweet and floral. Need to try again.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours hazy golden in color with a whitish head. Funky barnyard notes, lemon and garden apples in aroma at first. After that the sour elements take charge for awhile and they’re accompanied with some earthy and wooden notes too. Really, really nice so far. Wooden oaky tart notes in taste, sour fruityness and funky stable notes mixed with lith bit of floral notes later on. Dry white whine grape, and thus this feels a bit champagne-like from time to time. Apples and vinegar mixed with bitterness in aftertaste. Good one.

Difficult to get around if you’re not a drinker of lambic style. The funky yeast is almost overpowering. It can be sipped like a white wine. Lots of citrus - I love that. Very interesting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
"Not as odd as the Spontankoppi, not as good as the kriek or framboise. Very good, almost aggressive, dose of funk and lemon in the aroma. Flavor much the same with a slight added stinky cheese level. Pretty accurate to the style. A bit gassy."

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2014 355ml shared. Pours light amber with a low white head. Smells of lemon, yeast, damp wood, and the obvious bretta funky aroma. Taste is very similar with light acidity and not too strong wild yest. Good lambic on the light side of the style. Could be a good way to approach this kind of beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ Barely legal tasting room .
pours clear blonde, good white foam .
Smell is very ’real’lambic, somewhere between a geuze from Boon and 3 fonteinen . Similar to Oud beersel , to me that is , but a little more ’dry ’.
Taste is intense, bit metallic sour , in a very nice way. back has some funk to it . Dry finish . Easy drinkable . Some grainy aspects . Very freakin close to the Belgian stuf, yet this one is slightly less complex, and a bit more metallic to me than what i’m used to . On the other hand, with geuzes every bottle is different .. Which is part of the beauty here . Tasting it now makes me say that this comes close to a ’real ’geuze, but is not there a full 100 % . I do doubt though , that if I were to taste this blind, I could recognize the difference . Maybe an idea to do someday ???
