7.7%ABV. Lambic. Tapped out red purple. Nose has tart acetic aromas that one has come to expect of all the spontans by Mikkeller. This one has a bit of blackcurrant sweetness to the nose, but just barely so, reminiscent of Ribena. Inviting nose. Mouthfeel is juicy. The palate and mouthfeel are remiscent of cranberry juice...for me, just screams Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice. The malt palate is predictably subtle given all the strong wild, sour, tart and fruity flavors. A very nice iteration of the spontan series. Finish is juicy and tart.

Rød farge med masse luftig rosa skum som forsvinner raskt. Lukter veldig av solbær. Veldig syrlig i smak og igjen mye smak av solbær , men også syrlige kirsebær. En meget god lambic.

Sample from draft at mikkeller friends. Poured a deep red colour with a slight off head. Nose of light grains, oak, slight new vanilla oak, cranberries, barnyard funk, brett, dark forrest fruits, citrus, and slight bitter Peel. Lot’s of fresh berries in the taste with a good sour kick in the finish. Really really enjoyable

37.5 cl bottle poured in to a Flute. Bottle from Systembolaget. Which means that I got it for nearly half price compared to the Danish shops. Dark red colour with a fluffy, pink head. Tart, fruity aroma with blackcurrant, wheat malts, lemons, wooden notes. Taste is sour. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes bone dry and tart fruity with blackcurrant. Lovely fruit lambiek.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375ml bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Clear, ruby red. Film, and bubbly ring of dusky pink head. Nose has blackcurrant yoghurt. Fresh blackcurrant juice. Lemon juice. A bit of sweet oak. Some vanilla ice cream. Smells lovely. Taste is dry, clean, sour and fruity. Mouthfeel is bright and crisp. Doesn’t feel 7.7% at all. Slightly acidic, dry, fruity finish. Very nice.

At home, 2015 bottle (37.5cl) Pour: beautiful intense dark red, low carbonation. Smell: Blackcurrant, fruits, sweet, jello. Tastes - First: sweet summer fruits; mids: acidic, sourness; after: intense sourness, currant remains as the rest fades. Verdict: High sourness, well-balanced sweetness and fruitiness. Very nice!

Dark red color. Acidic and tart aromas of blackcurrant. Taste is sour blackcurrant. Sour ales always make it so hard for me to notice anything else to appreciate in the beer. It always leaves me disappointed. Hard to give an objective rating. Didn’t like it.
