UPDATED: JUL 3, 2014 Pours hazy dark red with a bright pinkish head. Aroma of blackcurrants, slight mouldy oak, bacteria, redcurrant, tartness, wild barnyardy notes and some dusty floral notes. Taste of blackcurrant, brett, medium tartness, dry wood, redcurrant, dark oak and late sulfur. Overall pretty fresh and nice!

Bottle at Scopey’s CBC Tune-Up. Hazy cranberry purple color with no head. The nose is sugary cranberry, yeasty barnyard. Dusty wood chalk. The taste is acerbic tangy acid, light juicy berry and sharp cheddar cheese. Light body, quite drinkable. Soft carbonation. Overall, quite nice. Not my standout of the spontaneous series, but worth a try.

375 ml bottle - pours hazy bordeaux alike with faint pink head. Aroma of dark berries, strawberry and a slight hint of cassis. Light nody with gentle tart start, murcky middle and sour end, citric acid in the finish... not bad, but I miss some more fruitiness... some strawberry though after some seconds after the finish...

Wow... +10 for ’pucker factor’ fruity sour notes on the aroma. Very sour taste. Fellow raters mention a cheesy flavor. I can derive that from the sourness, but I’d say the fruity flavor masks a lot of it. Overall a fun beer.

Pour out of 375 mL bottle thanks to Aaron and anker for it! Dark hazy reddish with thin white head, aroma has notes of big lemon, sweet currant and tart at the same time, nice funky notes with a hint of raspberry and other berries, touch of blackberry, hints of biscuit, some vanilla as well. Taste is big, big lemony lactic acid, slight cheesy and vanilla notes, hints of funk with a slight dirty mineral note but quickly fades into a sour and biscuit finish.
