3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line :
Barnyard, citrusy acidity and red fruit (cassis, I guess) meld into a lingering finish for this flavorful but a tad rough P-Lambic.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A pink slice of foam covers the fuchsia-like dark pink colour. Bright and surprising.
-The fruit character may be mustier than the Cranberry version’s, for example, but it is still nicely outlined.
-The soft effervescence makes the dusty/musty funk appear intense.
-Acidity levels are medium to high.
-The long aftertaste is not easy and seamless.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a light plum in colour. Very hazy. Light pink billowy head that falls away pretty quickly. Citrus aromas with some acidity and light berries. Flavours show some sourness and a touch of sweetness from the fruit. Highly carbonated which I found deleted the flavour somewhat. Overall though not too bad.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
375ml bottle. An intriguing reddish purple colour with a bright pink head. Why can’t more beers have a pink head? Even though Mikkeller aren’t a traditional lambic maker they get the aroma and taste pretty much spot on. I love the sourness but wish the blackcurrants shone through a little bit more. Perhaps blackcurrants just don’t stand out like cherries do? Despite that, top marks to Mikkeller for this lovely lambic.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
05/01/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (375ml bottle).

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark hazy red with a large, pink creamy head. Aroma is currants, root cellar and citrus. More sour to the taste than expected, lots of grape and currants. Root cellar, lemon and currants in the finish. Very light body, but it suits this beer. Very nice one.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at CP&K. It pours cloudy purple, with a quickly dissipating pink head. The nose is red grape, blackcurrant jam and farmyard. The taste is tart lemon, blackcurrant, blackberry, jam, red grape and wood, with a juicy-tart finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and good balance. Not particularly complex, but delicious nonetheless.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Systembolaget. Fruity and sout. Fairly bitter and a long lasting aftertaste. Ok lambic, but not in the same class as Cantillon for instance.
