Medium purple head. Clear dark red barely translucent body. Dry-sweet-acidic lemony blackberry and metal taste with earthy waxy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharp, muddy mouthfeel. Dry-bitter metallic earthy blackberry taste with wooden chemical notes. Not really very successful. Sharp, unsubtle, and hard to drink. (0.375l bottle, Salling, Århus.)

Shared bottle at BrewDog Edinburgh. Slightly cloudy dark, purple pour with a small pinky head. Sour vinous cherry/blackcurrant nose. Blackcurrant up-front, quickly changes to vinous grape sourness, some fruit/citrus peel & earth underneath. Mild sour finish. Lovely stuff.

Pours dark red with a nice light pink foam. Thick and sour aromas of berries, cassis not really distinguishable for me. Alcohol and acidity is very prominent though. The body is medium to full and the flavours sour and citric. A bit sprawling but not bad.

Bottle, 7.7%. Slightly citric aroma. Beautiful deep red colour, quite cloudy. Good stable pink/red head. The flavour starts off with a little blackcurrant note, fat and mild, then turns very citric. Good vinous, white wine grape peel bitterness underneath. Very clean acid flavour, subtle acetic notes as well.

37.5 cl bottle. Pours dark red with a huge pink head. Aroma is smooth fruity, mild barnyard and acidic. Sharp acidic yet also quite fruity. Citric and mild fruity into a slight citric finish. Citric and lingering fruity. Quite filling fruity and smooth.

Unclear bright neon red with a pinkish head. Black currant jelly candy and black Basset’s winegums. Rather sour and with a bitterness that clashes a bit with the sourness.

[bottle at BrewDog Bar, Edinburgh] Sampled alongside the Spontanredcurrant – this one was more palatable, in my opinion. The sourness was there, of course – but so too is a more noticeable fruit edge. The blackcurrant notes help tone down the screaming tartness, and leave a more rounded finish [13072011]

Shared this bottle with Craig at the Brewdog Bar, Edinburgh. A lovely ruby red colour with a thin pink head. Tart aroma of cherry and blackcurrant. Lemony sour Ribena. Some balsamic vinegar and a great lingering sourness. Brilliant!
