Draft. Purple colour with a good white head. Funky fruits aroma, along with a bit of oak and a general sourness. Flavour is like a mixture between a red and a white wine. Really sour and dry. Slight hints of almonds. Funky fruits and berries. It’s quite good, but there are simply better alternatives, also from Mikkeller.

385ml bottle. Dark purple body with a tall pink/purple head. Lacing. Aroma is pretty straight forward blackcurrant, citrus and tart. Flavor is a bit thin on the berry side and more tart, with citrus and stable.

375ml bottle. Dark red with one finger dark pink to light red head. Aroma of bleckcurrant, acidic red fruits, funk, hay and some lactic notes. Taste is highly acidic with blackcurrant, tart red berries, funk, hay, light lactose/youghurt and light batnyard notes. Medium tart mouthfeel, light carbonation and tart acidic blackcurrant aftertaste.

The taste is not as soury as I thought. It has this juice like palate. Really good with desserts.

Flaska från SB. Mörkröd med rosa skum. Syrlig doft med funk och svarta vinbär. Torr och stram munkänsla. Syrlig smak med tydliga vinbär.

On tap at Draught. Pours a clear garnet to ruby with a thin white head. Big sweet sticky berry pile hiding under sugared funky hay. Medium-bodied, cheesy with some buttery fruit and a whole big pile of sweet tangy acid, buttered passion fruit juice. Tangy and loaded with big sour acid. Like a beer sour patch kid, berries and passion fruit, tart and vibrant. Long lingering acid on the finish, berry flavored sour candy.

A toast for Prince
Pours a purple color with a big white head and lots of lacing on the glass.

Aroma is lightly funky with a bit of bright lemon like acidity. Overall it smells like a light red wine.. deep & fruity with nice oaky notes.

The flavor has a nicely balanced sourness tart & fruity while keeping it dry. Dark fruit & light cork like notes throughout.

A really good iteration of this series.

Clear ruby color with pink foam ring and nice lacing. Delightfully sour cassis nose. The taste is aggressive sour, but not completely overpowered. The fruit touch is intense and brings a certain sweetness in the still very sour touch. The aftertaste is sour fruity, but calm. Very pleasant beer, like most of the Mikkeller Spontan I tried.

Aroma is obvious black currants with a deeper kind of aroma with barnyard notes and slight rainwet young firewood. Taste is once again obvious black currant, but not as sour as you’d might expect? No, there’s a fair share of sweetness in here, slight black currant jam. Wooden undertones and tart and dry in the aftertaste. Refreshing stuff! Maybe a little one dimensional, but still great.
