375 ml bottle shared by Emma - thanks again! 2013 vintage. Pours a hazy plum-rose color with a small off-white head. Notes of yogurt, blueberry cobbler, bread, vanilla, oak, rose petals, currants, grapes, lemon juice, and cheesecloth. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, tart mouthfeel. The acidity and tartness are pretty restrained here. Good, but not a standout in the style.

12.7oz bottle, big thanks to Emma for sharing. 2013 vintage. Dark red color, kind of purple. Thin off-white head. Dots and short ropes of lace. Awesome, beautiful color. Really interesting, potent aroma. Big cream cheesiness in the nose, kind of spicy berries. Dark (black) cherry. Medium plus body, smooth, lighter carbonation. Good kind of chewy texture. Tasty fruity stuff.

On tap at Erzbierschof 2 times in 2014, uploading old notes. Deep red/purple with a pink head. Aroma is intensely cassis, berries, but the funk is not missing out. Taste is sweet-sour, super-nice combination of the berries and the funk. A very good amount of sourness which blends in nicely. A great fruit lambic, one of my favourites from the Mikkeller spontans which I’ve had so far.

Easily the best Mikkeller lambic I’ve tried. There’s an intense acidity to this one but the light sweetness of the currant works really well and creates an extremely intense flavor experience. It’s like a raspberry vinaigrette on steroids, or something. Quite tasty.

Bottle. Pours dark hazy red with a small pink head. Aromas of cassis, slight leather, horseblanket, vinegar, funk. Taste is tart cassis, more vinegar, dry woody notes, slight leather and some stable-like notes. Vinous dry finish.

Aroma: Smelling funky leather, stable, fermented black currants.
Appearance: The ale is clouded deep red, has a high firm pink head that settles slowly and leaves loads of lacing and good curtains.
Taste: No sweetness to talk about, a very invigorating tart sourness, red fruit aroma, crushed cherry seed bitterness.
Palate: Medium high carbonation, a dry almost course texture, medium body with lots of freshness. Does not feel like near 8%.
Overall: A very nice lambic style beer.
Note: Bottle 375 ml. Reviewed 2012-02-28.
