Draught. Burgundy red with a small pinkish head. Sweetish forrest with some dark ripe fruityness in aroma. Feels really nice. A bit of tart notes, some wild berries and ripe garden fruityness in taste. Easy drinking and qood tasting one here. Smooth for that matter as well. No sigh of the abv here. Nice fruity bitter finish.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. My god this is a tarty bitch. Very, very sour. Practically puckers the mouth. Too sour personally but not bad

375, capped. Thanks, R! Pours a murky, fizzy dark purple with a little bubbly pale mauve head. Mild musty fruity soft tart nose, very subtle presence of light vinegar notes. Pleasantly dark sweet fruity mid palate with a gentle finish. Very approachable and balanced, could use a bit more power.

Draught at Delirium Hoppy Loft Brussels. Deep, dark purple with lace. Cloudy. Nice nose—cassis with good lambic character, funky, horse blanket, leather. Nice fruit flavor, still solid lambic taste, sour but manageable, very nicely balanced. Lovely.

Draft on tap at Poor Phil’s (Oak Park, IL). Quick stop in after work. Always find a surprise or two here but today’s trip had a purpose. Pours a nice deeper crimson hue, gentle haze, nice darker glow through sustains, berry pulp, a touch of plum purple in the body. Frothy pinkish head atop dies to a small ring, laces small. Aromas present some darker berry pulp, blackberries and blackcurrant intermix, funkiness and some cobwebs, more gentle lactic element comes on a bit more as it warms. Yogurt, some lemon, firmer wood as we move on. Dry barnyard element as the fruit element doesn’t really ever take over. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, blending some decent sour blackberry, black currant, some raspberry into some sweeter syrupy like fruit elements. A touch sharp and dry but that is fleeting as we move into the middle. Some sweeter elements at play here, the oak comes on more firmly, decent funky cobweb element starts to show more. A pleasant carbonation up front dies out a little bit back here. Backend gets it going again for me, the middle being a little out of place. More sour and tart fruit/berry elements show, berryskin, oak and hay. Some decent lactic notes, firmer funk really sticks on back here. A touch dry, funky and oaky. The fruit elements are firm, not as sweet and near cloying as that odd middle part was for me. A pretty solid Spontan, seems a bit young but the fruit choice seems like a good one. Perhaps some age would be beneficial? Nice though.

Tap at Beachwood BBQ Seal Beach. Inky purple pour with good beige lace. Jammy aroma with some flashes of diacetyl. Taste is tangy, clean, lactic. No acetic acid. No butyric like previous attempts. Taste again is exceptionally leathery with white grapefruit and peel. All lactic, no acetic or butyric. Excellent.

Bottle at Mikkeller Bar. Pours purple brown with an attractive dark pink head and an ascerbic fruit aroma. There is a delicious black currant flavor with a delicate bitter and sour finish.
