Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a cloudy amber with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is dark fruits, figs, and funk. Thin mouthfeel with oak, grape skin, dry finish.

375 ml bottle to tulip. Looks good for the style; a very cloudy purple grape flesh with off-white head that steadily dissipats into lacing. Smells good too; tart and funky with pleasant notes of grape. Some mild sweetness tied in as well. Tastes like it smells, but not quite as rich and funky. Pleasantly tart and lively on the palate. A nice Spontan variant.

37.5 cL bottle at home. Pours hazy red with a large off-white/pink head. Aroma is a bit tart with quite some blackberries, blackberry juice, fruitiness and some dark fruits. Taste is over medium sour with quite some blackberries, fruitiness and a slightly dry finish. Medium body and carbo. Never had blackberries in a beer before, but quite nice.

Bottle. Lovely deep violet hue with a lavender head. Aroma is earthy black currents with a sour note. Juicy black current flavour with a mild sourness and subtle funkiness, finishing dryly. A sweeter, fruitier, juicier offering than the kriek, which will polarize some of the ratings here I’m sure.
