bottle shared with a friend, side by side with the malaga edition, the both poured a beautiful deep purple colour with a nice dark purple head on top. nose is just bursting with an intanse sweet and tart cherry fruit aroma, sweet almonds, cinnamon sweetness from the pits, cherry pie, oak, vinous wine, grapes, red wine, mineral notes, nice sour finish without getting overpowered. prefered this one over the malage edition (which added a extra sweetness to the beer) really one of the best beer Mikkel has made. lovely

Bottle split with my friend Duncan. A deep purple pour with a wispy pink head. The aroma is an intense rich cherry, Maraschino black cherries, super sweet in the aroma. Full bodied with a round carbonation much sweeter than the blueberry it is a tart candied dark cherry with a tart sweetness to it. Terrific. Great stuff, the blueberry was damn good but this is even better. My favorite of the night.

Bottle Pour at Before 9. Lovely cherry nose, big almond aroma front he stones, yogurt. A bit flat. Lovely dry flavor, rich and luscious cherry. Delicious, though not so much lambic depth.

Bottle from the now departed Mikkeller Spring Pop Up. Almond/marzipan. Cherry, sweetness, coconut, light sourness, very smooth and rounded. Cake like. Very nice and interesting.

Bottle. Pours dark ruby red with pink-purple head. Aroma: sourish, methan, cherries, floury, acidity notes, rotten berries. Taste: up to medium sour, cherries, flour, wine notes. Sour finish.

Bottle shared. Great stuff, drinks like a port wine with a gentle sour edge, some oak and berries, nice dry finish. Delicious and dangerously smooth one.

Pours ruby red color with a cloudy dark red body with a pinkish head. Aroma is mostly cherry, resiny and floral sweetness. These characters are instant. Taste follows the nose. Mostly cherry with a touch of bubblegum and cloves. Some licorice smell to it. It’s still a Spontan so there is this wild yeastery character to it. Very flavorful. Mouthfeel is not as heavily bodied as you might think. I’d say medium-bodied

Thick mulled Ribena red, thin bubbly ringed head. Nose is bullish sweetness, proper furry orange and juiciness. Initial taste is rich dark berry, musty and lightly tart. Itchy spice, warming sweetness and almost mead like. Finishes fleshy grape and worn berry bitter linger.

nottle at home, compared to the other versions. Chardonnay version: Pours a bit lighter than the other two (whereas te Malaga wine barrel is the darkest of them all). Aromas are hidden, after some heavy swirling some vinious Pinot Noir notes and blueberries. Soft mellow mouthfeel, taste is cherry peel and some tannins as well. Malaga version: a lot more dark fruit in the nose and a bit of the Spanish rich alcohol that one can find in the Southern wines. Meaty and animal scents, this goes very close to wine! Body is also more alcoholic and tannine-rich. Preference foes to this one over the other two varieties.
