Really red colour with slightly reddish head on top. Aroma is sour and there is red wine, tannin, cherries, some red berries and maybe some winter spices, cinnamon or something. Taste has lots of berries and cherries, after the sourness. Full body with really high carbonation. Really excellent sweet and sour cherry beer.

Bottle. It’s a deep reddish beer topped by a finger-thick dense, dark pink head. The aroma has too much almond essence, with lots of cherries and a meaty, almost caramel touch. Some spiced hints, cloves and cardamom I think. It’s full-bodied, semi-tart and pleasantly carbonated, with cherry dominating the flavor. Blue grapes, some spiced hints, a touch of alcohol and even more cherry in the flavor. Lasting finish with resemblence of red wine. A beer that would probably do well with some heavy chocolate dessert. 141231

Backlog rating. 37.5cl bottle from BD Shoreditch, London. It pours a deep ruby / violet color with a minimal pink-ish head. Aroma is sour and tart with wood notes, tart cherries, port wine, dust, lemon sherbet and some funk. Taste is acidic and tart with more lemon juice, red fruits sweetness, tart cherries, sweet cherries, port wine barrel, hay, funk. Finishes acidic and fruity. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, feels like it lacks some powerful cherry notes compared to the base kriek

Bottled. Deep ruby, almonds, cherries, light bitterness along with the fruit. Lovely barrel character, too. Just lovely.
