On tap at Mikkeller Bar, SF. Deep red body and head. Silly smooth cherry aroma. Taste is very complex. Cherry, of course, but not as sour as I expected. Kind of tastes like every kind of cherry combined, with some malt. Very nice.

Wow this is an awesome sour! Mikkeller in SF. Poured into a tulip served at 55 degrees. Pours a deep merlot, with a foamy pink head. Huge aromas of Brett, oak, sour cherries, and red wine. Tart cherry, cherry pie, and oak Flavors with a creamy finish. This is a well balanced beer.

Bottle. Very dark purple pour with a pink/purple head that fades to a ring. Aroma is packed with cherry syrup, cherry skins, and light chocolate syrup. Tastes moderately sour with a little sweet cherry syrup too. So much sour cherry skins, blackberries, black currants and oak. Light chocolate pops up sometimes. Slighty dry in the finish. Really nice sour, so much fruit.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2015 50,- Euro pro Liter! Ein solches Bier muss schon was hergeben.

Brilliant vinous sour aroma with cherry and oakyness. Taste is the same, but no sweetness to the cherry and a bitter almost barnyard funky finish. Sour maybe 5 of 10, with it being mostly an acidic sour but the funky finish. Really a nice complex beer and not sweet like many fruit lambics. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at EBP. Pours a thick dark cough syrup-y red (this is not to imply that the flavors go that way). Light pink foam on top for a minute. Big sweet cherry nose, mix of snack cherries and pie cherries, leaning a little more toward the sweeter snack variety. Creamy thick body with lively carb. Intense cherry flavors, lots of tartness as well, well-integrated enough that it’s not immediately clear whether the tartness is more from fruit acidity or from the inoculation. That’s pretty cool. Crisp refreshing finish. Very nicely done.

Purple with a small dark pink head. Aroma is sweet fruity and tart cherry yoghurt, slight almond. Taste is sweet juicy cherries up front, tart cherries and yoghurt coming through midways, dry tart finish, slight vinegar. Light bodied, average carbonation.
