Tap @ Mikkeller Aarhus. Pours deep red with a purple head. Aroma of those awesome cherries which is slight candy-like but also has some tartness in them. Also some, almonds, marzipan, deep oak and vinous notes. Just an awesome aroma. The taste follows with deep cherry notes, vanilla, almonds, oak and lots of vinous notes. The way this is sweet and yet tart and dry is a nice blend for me and I love both this and the barrel aged version. Great collaboration!

Fin blodröd färg, tydlig doft av sura körsbär. Smaken jag gärna fått vara antingen surare eller haft mer smak av söta körsbär, nu är det något mellanting som inte riktigt når det yttersta toppskicket. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Väldigt fin mörkröd färg. Den doftar gott. Smaken är för mycket mittemellan. Den borde ha varit antingen sötare eller surare. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Caña en el Lupulo 20..03..2016. (r232). Bastante buena. Para repetir sin duda.

From Tap: deep red color with pink head, aroma is sourcherry, sourcherryjuice with very little funk/barnyard, taste is moistly sourcherry with sour dry funky finish, no bitterness, medium sweetness, less complex than other krieks but very well balanced, a lot of cherry on a little bit of funk, hides the higher ABV very good,

sample from bottle, poured a deep red colour with a slight pink head. nose of fresh deep cherries, sweet cherry pit, raspberries, taste is way more tart as the nose is telling, nice amount of funk, oak, and red vineous wine, nice dry and complex mouthfeel. these are the kind of beers mikkel makes best!

Tap Mikkeller, Aarhus. Aroma of marzipan, tart cherry, sweet cherry. Clear read with reddish off-white head, not lasting. Taste is moderate sour, light sweet and light+ bitter. Medium body, dry feel, light carb., sour dry cherry finish

375 mL bottle shared with Gus and ebone1988. The pour is a dark dark purple with a deep red frothy head that falls to a thick collar leaving a pretty spotty lace. The aroma is interesting. There is a lot of cherry juice. A decent tartness to it, but it's a sweet dry wine thing happening. There is a touch of spice on the finish. The flavor is dry and winey. There is a definite influence here. It's dry and lightly tart but offers a sweetness and a dry winey finish. The mouth feel is thicker and lightly carbed. The aftertaste is definitely dry wine. This isn't bad, but not what I was hoping for. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared in a three way....Mikkeller cherry tasting with koleminer20 and Gus. Aroma is cherry juice, sugar, skins, real nice. Appearance is darker red, pink head. Taste is sweet cherry, slight sour, some spice that reminds me of the apple orchard, dry. Mouthfeel is medium body, light crisp carbonation, dry, cherry skin aftertaste. Overall, this is very good, but slightly off.
