Mikkeller gets a little sour. SpontanCherryFrederiksdal is an oak aged sour ale by the Danish gypsy brewery. Frederiksdal refers to the estate from which the beer gets its sour cherries.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2014 10.02.2014, 0,375l bottle @ home:
Big slightly purple creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is rich and concentrated, loaded with fresh sour cherries, berry skin, grass, oak, sorrel. Taste is slightly dry grassy, berry skin, fresh sour cherries, grass, oak, sorrel, hints of bark. Dry mouthfeel. Very nice, but should have been more sour.

Bottle I took to watch football with Andy, Max, Pearl, Paul. Pours a deep ruby and garnet hued red with a thin pink head. A touch of cough drops, a bit funky and weird, sweet, with a bit of that weird fecal note that sometimes shows up. Still rather nice. Medium-bodied, a little herbal, lots of delicate earthy cherries. A bit of funkiness, chewy cherry skin tannins, very delicate, a bit more earthy funk. Lingering cherry, a bit more funk. Rather tasty.

Doften är fotsvett, omogna hallon, körsbär och lite stall. Smaken är körsbär, hö och hallon. Kanske inte så syrlig men härligt balanserad. En härlig och välkomponerad öl!

Bottle via BrewDog. It pours a gorgeous deep purple with a think deep pink head. The nose is ripe cherry, wood, jammy, red grape, blackberry and dusty cobwebs. The taste is full of ripe cherry, tart grape skin, wood, granny smith apple, lemon, vinous, touch of alcohol and mild acidity with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and fizzy carbonation. Massive cherry character! Not a whole lot of complexity, but rather delicious!

#2500 beer. #100 Fruit lambic. 375 ml. bottle split by 3. BBF 14/02/2021. Colour is incredible, extremely dark ruby red wine, amazing, head unfortunately does not last which is sad because it looks like raspberry mouse, this has to be one of the most incredible looking beers out there. Nose is pure cherries, light iron, pure cherry juice, mild tart and cherry jam. Taste is incredibly big on cherry juice (almost a bit what 3F Intense Red did with kriek’s), tastes like the whole of a cherry, the pit and lots of the skin as well, some bitter skin and touch of iron, spices, hint of wine and red grape skins, cherry overpowers virtually all Spontan notes, light sourness and nice tang + touch of oak. Pure juice body, touch lighter carb. Very nice, Spontan beers to be becoming more interesting lately. Dry.

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - pretty clear dark bordeaux colour with an evanescent foam; notes of alcohol, tannins, light sourish cherries, vinous; some sweetness toped by a fair sourness; full-bodied, pretty oily and very dry; long aftertaste of sour cherries and herbs very interesting

bottle by eugene , thnx dude ! pours red, pink foam . smell is pretty damn fine cherrys, intence, but no overkill. where a regular kriek and a intence red ( 3 f ) meet, there would be this beer. no overkill, very drinkable, cherrys, sour in hints, dry, complexness is there as well . very good !
