Bottle: Deep, indigo-red body with a lavender tinted foam that slowly settles to a thin ring. Aroma contains notes of sweet cherry pie filling, currants, jammy berries, a touch of red wine, faint oak, & a twinge of musty funk in the back-end. Flavor is more dry & tart, rather than sweet like the aroma. Much more vinous, too. Tons of oaky tannins, dry & sharp cherry skins, red wine grapes, musty oak, some raspberry, a hint of cinnamon spice in the finish with a tingle of vinousness that lingers. Very dry, leaves a touch of musty oak in the aftertaste. Very nice.

larsga (7219) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 19, 2015
Big pink head. Beautiful deep clear dark red body with carbonation. Oily cherry aroma with sherry and yoghurt notes. Not that strong, but very clean. Acidic fruity cherry taste with almonds and earth notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-acidic earthy cherry aftertaste with earthy notes. Smelled like they might possibly have been on to something truly great, but the flavour is not as good. A bit unclean and sharp, also lacking in complexity, but not a bad beer. (0.375l bottle, I have no idea where from.)

Bottle from Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours cherry red with a disappearing head and a delightful tart cherry flavor . The cherries taste a lot like Lambeek cherries. This one is just really fun to drink. Tastes like traditional lambic kriek, but more hearty than delicate.
