bottle at brewdog Edinburgh. dark reddish orange, gushing white head fades to a thin film. very dry, almost gueuze tart nose. little berry fruit but mostly vinous and dry. so, so sour on the palate - some cranberry sweetness but really very tart overall. I like it a lot.

Bottle at home. Lovely copper colour with a huge fluffy orange head. Pleasant aroma with lots of wood and citrus also dry-sweet berries and dirt. The flavour is very bitter-sour grape at first, then berries followed by a bit of wood and burnt rubber. Ends very dry and bitter. Hopefully theres no rubber notes in the next bottle.

Nice hazy red colour with a rocky foam that fades quick. Aroma is pleasant but on the sweet side with a lot of cranberries (For once I can actually distinguish what’s in these beers) and a hint of cherries. Good earthy notes and quite sour as well. Medium to full bodied and pretty dry. Taste have the right sourness and acidity and this feels like a real lambic for once. Overall good especially after the other "spontan-beers" that was a slight let down.

phredrik (999) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - JUL 28, 2011
Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours cranberry juice colored with a soapy small white head. Aroma is sweet and sour. Red berries, huge funk, horse blanket, notes of leather, the most funky smelling of the Mikkeller Lambics so far. Almost a bit of rhubarb, and of course a lor of wet oak characteristics. Taste is as sour as the other fruit lambics, very very tart, loads of horse blanket. Sour cranberries are also evident, and a lime-like bitterness too. Not as balanced as some of the other Mikkeller fruit lambics, but decent enough, though.

Cloudy red with a big pink head. Aroma of berries, mineral yeast. Sour berry flavour, very tart, uncompromising though a bit one dimensional

(Bottle) Pours clear copper with an off-white to pink head. The aroma is fantastic and supper aggressive with clear tones of horse blanket, tart berries and wood as the most notable. Undertones of phenols/smoke, wet ashtray, wet hay, crackers, wheat and light cheese. The nose is really Belgo authentic. The flavour is dry and heavily acidic with almost no bitterness. Tones of tart berries, citrus acid, Brett, lacto, phenols and wood. The mouthfeel is tart and almost creamy with medium carbonation. Long acid-driven finish. Medium bodied.
