Darkest thick purple, bright fluff of a purple head that clings like someone has crushed some berries into the bottle. If this isn’t appearance 5/5 I don’t know what is. Nose is firm zimmer of blanket and scratches of dry blueberry skin throughout, a bit brisker thank the appearance implied. Taste is fairly straight laced weak lambic; tart, stringey, pick and mix sour and finishes a lean out of context sweet finish. I am dissapoint.

Bottle, 10pm Curfew Tasting, Mikkeller Bottleshop

(375ml bottle from Mikkeller and Friends bottle shop) Pours opaque deep purple with a small pale purple head, like incredibly dark red wine. Aroma has big ripe cheesy musty funk, vinous oaky notes with a lot of red wine character, some acetic acid like red wine vinegar. A rich blueberry pie filling fruit character and maybe a bit of blackberry. Palate is quite sour initially, lactic acid and blueberry skin, musty, tannic, oaky. Dries out impressively towards the finish with some lightly cheesy but musty funk. Blueberry skin tannins prevalent. Some oak. Almost a mineral feel. Very nice funky fruit lambic, nice use of blueberry but not the bright fruity thing some might be expecting.

Bottle. Deep purple with pale purple head, looks great, ends there. Aroma is mouldy, earthy, yeasty, puke, red wine. Taste is earthy, yeasty, like smelly feet with red wine. Not much blueberry to be seen here other than the appearance. Quite sour. Tastes like a nasty tannin loaded cheap red wine

Bottle shared with Tom at hotel tasting in Brussel. Almost opaque purple pour with medium red pink head. Aroma is funky, nice blueberry aroma, blueberry skin, something almost dusty. Taste is quite tart, lots of fruit but really not sweet, really nice tartness, nice and winey, nice and complex. Palate is med bodied with good carbonation. Really nice.

Bottle (375 ml). Thanks to kraddel for this one! Small gusher. Deep & dark purple with a dark pinkish/purple head and some lacing. Aroma is of blueberries skin, nice funk as well as musty and dusty presence, Taste is only slightly acidic with a really nice blueberry sking presence, musty notes, dust, funk, oak and light vanilla. Medium body. Moderate/medium carbonation. Dry finish. Some oak in the finish too. Very good fruited lambic. Nice blueberry integration. Really tasty and well balanced. Definitely one of my favorite from the series.

Bottle from Mikkeller Webshop.
Very dark red body, with a medium, frothy, dark pink head, that dissipates quickly.
Aroma is tart and sour, with delicious, dominant blueberries, also some other sour berries, green apple, wine, wood, straw.
Taste is about the same, dominant sour and dry.
Medium, bit creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation and the finish is completely smooth blueberries, that stay on the tongue forever (actually it even colors the tongue blue).

Tasty! The blueberries are really delicious, especially in the nose and the finish. The taste doesn’t fully keep up in my opinion, slightly too overlapped by the strong, dry sourness for my liking, but still really enjoyable!
