375 ml bottle @ home. Pours hazy golden with a small off white head. Aroma is tart, sour with some citrus. Taste is nicely balanced and not as acidic as other Mikkeller spontan's. Nice dry ending with the elderflower coming through.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured at home in a snifter. Cloudy golden peach color with very small head and some ring/lacing. Aroma is lemon, lime, kiwi, and some acidity with wild yeasts. The taste is similar with the fruits and acidity up front. Great spomtaneous fermentation flavors with wild yeasts. Really well balanced. Not overly tart. Thin body and moderate carb.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. Clear dark golden with fizzy off white head. Funk up front, sour grains and white grapes, light elderflower but quite in the background. Hay, gooseberries, quite lactic, light malts and a bit of earth and dead leaves. Light sweet and almost medium sour. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. A lot less bitter than other Mikkeller lambics, this is quite balanced and nice.

Small offwhite head. Hazy deep yellow body with light carbonation. Wooden vinegary aroma with funky salty fruity notes. Dry-salty, slightly acidic, fruity elderberry taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry-acidic wooden metallic aftertaste with vinegary elderberry notes. Decent, drinkable, but very sour and low on flavour. (0.2l draft at Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen.)

2013 Bottle Date; Sampled August 2014
A steady pour into my large Tripel Karmeliet tulip produces a, perhaps, one-finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is a pale honey color that shows a clear, orange tinged, deep golden hue when held up to the light. The aroma has a tart, lactic character to it backed by a musty, funky, sort of musky, grapefruit zest leaning, and with an earthy, grassy, spiciness that is floral leaning. The finish has a touch of floral fruit character to it, perhaps a touch of Macintosh apple, which mixes well with a hay-like, toasted pale cracker character; the cracker note at times can be quite expressive here from beginning to end.
Soft and creamy textured, but finishes with a prickly carbonation, again this has enough texture to it that it has a lushness to it but is still quite quaffable. There is a bright spiciness that percolates throughout the flavor of this beer, it is well integrated though and mixes with a lactic tartness. The funkiness here is definitely on the musty side, slightly musky in a barnyard sort of way, a bit of "cat-pee" like sharpness, and a finish that is slight medicinal, and slightly hospital clean. The malt character is quite pronounced here, dry hay, pale toasted saltine crackers, and fresh threshed, sun-baked grain.
This is really quite nice, again much better than I was expecting, really well balanced between the funkiness, the tartness, and the spiciness.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at ESBLS. This one came from a bottle shop mix a six so it had been there a while. Green bottle aroma and flavors. Plenty of tart funkiness. Some kind of floral and fruit, call it elderberry? More complex fruit and smooth malts. It didn’t quite work, perhaps because of the age.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is a hint of skunk, tropical fruit and mildly floral. The flavor is tropical fruit, fruit, malts and a mix of sour and medium sugar sweetness and in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Mikkeller Bangkok. Fairly clear golden colour. The aroma is citric with some funkiness, lemons, absolutely elderflowers. The flavour is nicely balanced with citrus fruit, elderflower, not a strong sourness but acidity and a little funk. Good balance but not one of my favourites from the series.
