Dark bordeaux red color with quickly disappearing foam. The smell promises lambic sourness with substantial amounts of raspberry. The taste is surprisingly heavy on the first sip until the sourness steps in. The raspberries work extremely well with the lambic and even tastes like a mixture of raspberries, blackberries, red- and/or black currant - nice and fruity. The whole taste is accompanied by a fine very present and aggressive carbonation. The aftertaste is very pleasant, quite dry, but rather short and much less dominant than hoped for. Slight drawback is the intense acidity, which is a tiny bit too much.

From notes. Tasted in December 2012 from a capped 375mL bottle purchased at Louisville Beer Store during Zwanze Day 2012. Pours super red with a thick pink head that slowly recedes to leave average lace. The nose is super sour, fresh raspberry with lemon and a vinous white wine note. The flavor is not as sour as I expected, but nicely balanced with tons of tart raspberry and a dry lemon peel note. The body is medium and tannic with average carbonation and a long tart raspberry and lightly bitter finish.
