Rich hazy ruby body with some bronze tints and a thinnish pink head with some rather vibrant pink colours when held up to a light. Aroma of super tart and pungent raspberry flavours with a lot of yeast, tons of sour notes and a very pleasant gueze smell when the eyes are closed. Light-bodied; Strong sour notes of raspberries and cherries up front with a pungent yeast flavour and some light sweetness on the tail end. Aftertaste shows a hint of sour bitterness from the yeast with a large and sweet raspberry flavour and a little bit of grape and apple flavours. Overall, a nice and sour/bitter lambic with a lot of emphasis on the raspberries on the beginning and middle stages with almost solely bitterness at the end. I sampled this 37,5 cL ’split’ bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 04-January-2013 for US$13.99 sampled at home for my birthday in Washington on 30-June-2013.

Wow! A delicious surprise! I was expecting an overly sweet beer and was 100% wrong. Aroma was near perfect. Must, funk and vinegar. Pour was eye watering beautiful. Dark hazy ruby with a one finger off white/pink head. Taste was outstanding as well. Strongly and aggressively sour with only hints of raspberry. Strong biting carbonation dry the mouth out and leaves a sour finish. Nice funky barnyard aromas come up more as it warms as well as in the taste. Great find!

Bottle 375ml. Pours very hazy rusty brown with a medium sized beige head, looks a bit like muddy water. Very fresh aroma, tart raspberries, citrus, lemonade, a hint of root cellar. Not as sour as expected to the taste, dry, raspberries, citrus. Light body, low carbonation.

A couple bottle samples at WtWBA Brooklyn 2013. Pours a bright body with nice white lacing. Aroma is fresh sour raspberries and funk. Mouthfeel is medium, nicely balanced with tart and fruit - mostly sour cherries and raspberries. I really liked this one.

A lot more bitter than i had anticipated. It has a bitter taste to it. Definitely has a fruity taste, but not one of my favorites

BrewDog Brum. Bonus. Lambic. Felt a little smug in truth. I love BrewDog, quality bar and a company with a great attitude to brewing...it’s not up its own arse, reeking of snobbery. It’s fun and vibrant, and I like it. Mikkeller understand this. Come as you are...

Pours a clean and deep ruby red with two fingers of crackling pink head. Nose shows wild fermentation, funky and tart with earthy horse blanket and cherry pits. Overripe tart fruit. Flavor is kind of rough on the edges. Bitter acidity and a touch of raspberry. Maybe some tannin there as well. Very dry and light bodied. Extremely acidic.
