Bouteille @ ACBF 2011.

Christian (9697) - Odense, DENMARK - FEB 21, 2011
Slightly hazy ruby red with a big pale pink head. The aroma has lots of fresh, sweet raspberry, some funk and grass. Dry and tart raspberry flavour with a little bit of fruity sweetness. Grassy touch of hops. Much more complex than the kriek

Scopey (3229) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2011
Bottle at Cask Pub and Kitchen, shared with madmitch76, Mes and Leighton. Pours a crazy bright red colour with no real sign of a head. The nose is sharp raspberry, yeasty, farmyard and subtle mint. The taste is sour red berries (raspberry and redcurrant), granny smith apples, some hay and grass, leading to a long, dry, lip-smacking tart finish.

Bottle, bought @ LIVA, Kolding.
Pours hazy pale red with a nice, staying, creamy, pink head. Good lacings. Aroma is mildly fruity sweet, light raspberries, some slight funky fruity tartness. Highish carbonation, dry and a bit creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is tart, pleasantly fruity, lots of fresh raspberries. Elegant tartness. Much better than the spontankriek.

Bottle shared with Mes&Sim, Leighton and Scopey at the CP&K. Cheers! Hazy red beer, no real head. Light and dry palate. Sour raspberries on the nose. Very tart beer but we are not in lemon-acid territory. A little raspberry flavour in there amongst the tongue tingling tartness. Finishes dry and crisp. Not bad - just the right side of being too sour.

A Mes rate (about time no?) at the Cask thanks to Scopey.
An utterly glorious candy apple red color that could only be described as a lady in red... Not the song. You guys can’t see what I have in front of me. Oh yeah, anyway. Beer. This is a beauty. Anyone who knows me is well aware of how much I love the Spontanale. For a while I’ve been wanting a fruity version. Now I have one in front of me. Gloriously tart and effortlessly assertive. Big zing of madness fully side to side on the palate. Clean as hell and a wonderful mouth refresher inbetween a Cognac Black and a Bourbon Big Worst. Superb tarty finish. It’s no secret, Mikkel makes some bloody excellent sour beer.

Nose is yeast, barn yard, quite heavy berries, great balanced feel, carb is lively, taste is dry hops, lots of fruits, amazing balance of dry and fresh notes
