375 ml bottle from Portale Birra, served in a Teku glass. Deep copper/amber with some dark orange tinges, and an off white, almost pink-ish creamy head. Strong and pungent aroma, fruity, almost milky/lactic, with notes of different types of berries (raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, sour black cherries) and quite a bit of funk, in a dusty/musty/sweaty kind of way. Pretty strong sour and tart component, very dry and slick palate, lots of raspberries as expected in the taste, like a liquid and sweet marmelade. Long lingering fruity finish. Lively carbonation, light to medium body, slightly creamy texture. A bit one dimensional, artificial sweet tasting, but it’s probably just a matter of personale preference. Decent.

Big 16oz pour at Partisan DC. Pours a slightly hazy pinkish amber with some thin, white head. Big berry nose, a little cherry too, tart, some candy, a little grass, some plum, some cranberry. Flavor follows suit, lots of berry, under ripened cherry, raspberry, cough syrup, grassy, a little pithy. Medium bodied, tart finish.

375 ml. Pours colored but clear with little head. Light carbonation. Hints of jam, and ever so slightly dry. A good, but not fantastic beer.

375 ml bottle. BB 26/06/22. From Estonia. Courtesy of mjs. Thanks!
Dark red colour with a small white head. Tartness, raspberries and Lambic sourness in the aroma. Nice. Sourness, tart berries and woody dryness in the flavour. No bad at all!

(Bottle, 0.375l - BB 26/06/22, from Drink Shop, 20140315) The beer poured red. Its head was small and pink. Aroma had raspberries, sourness and tartness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were raspberries, tartness, sourness and bitterness. Aftertaste had berries, sourness and bitterness. A way better brew than Spontankriek but still somewhat thin.

Bottle. 7.7%. Best before 24.11.20. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a pinkish/light tan head. Decent lacing. Strong, sweet raspberry aroma; somewhat like a raspberry jam. Rather nice, really. Flavous is sour and dry, with raspberry and is a bit earthy. Sour finish, bitter and dry. Lingering raspberry sourness. Overall okay; the aroma is pretty nice, but the flavour could be more well-balanced. 20.02.14.
