UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 at BBF 12, smells like framboos ( witch is kinda overtime, like always with sours) tastes sour, with a very nice afterglow of good framboos. i’m still not a fan of this style, but this waawed me. best of the festival, couldnt get enough of it ! need these bottles !

Bottle. Pours a deep red with a pink, large-grained, lacy, pillowy head. Nose is raspberry vinegar, oak, vanilla, rose, pinot noir, and funk. Intensely sour on the front of the tongue, with a strong acetic punch; after that, the fruit opens up, with a brambly wild raspberry intensity shading into bitterness. The finish becomes even more bitter, treading into amaro country, the acidity rising up into the nose as the palate is scraped clean. This is almost more of an aperitif than a beer. Good.

Pours reddish purple with aroma of raspberry, vinegar, and funk. Lots of raspberry flavor with reasonable tartness and funk. Really great beer.

Slightly murky red pour with a pinkish head. Aroma is raspberry, wood, light vinegar, and funk. Taste is the same with heavier acetic character and funk. Nice puckering quality to it. Medium body that finishes dry.

"Pretty solid. Everything you’d want in a framboise. Full of raspberry aroma and flavor but not really sweet. More than adequately tart and sour with a bit I stinky cheese for good measure. Appearance woulda got a 9 if it wasn’t a gusher."

Bottle from Sixteen Tons Taphouse, Eugene. Pours a cloudy magenta, little to no head. Aroma oaky, lots of fruit, funky. Body has a woody bite, funky. Nice but a little funky for me.

A very tart lambic. Had in bottle purchased from Jester King in Austin Tx. The fruit is not overpowering but a good balance.

Trübes dunkeloranges Bier mit wenig weißem Schaum. Geruch nach reifen Himbeeren, säuerlich, trocken. Geschmack säuerlich fruchtig, Himbeeren, ok!

Draft at Snallygaster 2014. Poured a nice red color with aroma of raspberry and funk. Flavor was deeply acetic and sour. Strong raspberry flavor, slightly tannic, very enjoyable and refreshing. As good of a lambic as I have ever tasted. Cheers!

Bottle from Knightly Spirits in Orlando. Poured into small snifters and shared with Brian and Edgar. Pours a ruby red with a very slight head. No lacing. Aroma is raspberry, red wine, oak barrel, and acetic acids. The taste is hyper sour raspberry, red wine, vinegar, and pear juice. Low to medium carb, tasty sour finish. Really was a very well balanced fruity sour.
