3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle purchased at The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma on this is heavily sweet, and fruity with hints of raspberry. There is also a little acetic and lightly lactic funk present, too. Light cheesiness. Very nicely aromatic. The body is a mostly opaque garnet-amber color with a small, light pink head, which is pretty frail. Starts a bit tart, sharp, and acidic, but not overly so. Some raspberries come through in the middle, with more light acidity and sweetness. Finishes with a bit of a wheat-like chewiness present. Nice, fine bubbly carbonation present here. I think this beer came out pretty well, but it just seems to lack the added layers of complexity that the guys in Belgium seem to have. Still a solid beer.

2015-07-30. Hazy red-amber body with a tiny quick white head. 3+ Aroma is lightly lactic, raspberry and green raspberry leaf. 7+ Flavour is similar, pleasantly sour, raspberry character with green leafy undercurrents. 7+ Average plus bodied palate, low carbonation. 3+ Pretty decent but missing something I can’t quite put my finger on. Bottle via trade with Boutip.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap @ Warpigs. Pours ruby red with no head. Aromas of vinegar, jammy raspberries, oaky notes, light grassy notes, light funk. Taste is jammy, vinous, oaky, light buttery notes - in a fine way, for some weird reason.

375 ml bottle il Pretesto Beershop, Bologna.
Dark copper, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, white, slightly pink head.
Delicious, complex aroma of oak, sweet-sour raspberries and other berries, barnyard, vanilla, some earthy notes.
Taste is sour, a bit tart, quite dry, with oak, funk, sour raspberries, citrus, grass.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes smooth, sour, dry, wooden, fruity, a bit earthy, also a bit sweet.
Very tasty! Especially the nose is wonderfully manifold, with sweet barrel notes, typical sour notes and lots of fruits. Taste is also very nice, more sour than the nose, but also with lovely oak notes. Overall the best Mikkeller Lambic I’ve had so far and pretty close to my perfect beer of this style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear ruby red, thin fizzy white head that vanishes quickly. Aromas of raspberry jam, other berries, funk. Taste is tart, nicely sour, a touch of sweet in the front, quite acidic. Body is medium-light. High carbonation giving a tingling mouth. The finish is long and sour with a funky tinge. Not so keen on the funk at the end, otherwise a nice brew.
