3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A steady pour into my New Belgium globe glass produces a two finger thick, pink tinged head, that leaves a touch of lacing on the sides of my glass. The beer smells strongly of raspberries, seed, skins, pulp and all. This is backed by a tartness that is light behind the raspberry sourness and there is perhaps a touch of mustiness here as well, and perhaps a touch of straw like grain character.
Quite dry, definitely quite tart (almost puckeringly so), the raspberry flavors are quite apparent, though not quite as prominent as they are in the nose. The finish has a hay like, and even cracker like grain / malt character to it, and there is also a certain bitterness / astringency here (raspberry seeds and oak perhaps). Fairly light bodied, definitely quite quaffable, but there is a certain viscosity here that is made up of raspberries and lactic acid slickness.
The raspberry character is very rich and dense, somehow jam-like despite the lightness and dryness of the beer. This beer is certainly not the most complex beer in the world; it is mostly raspberry, with just enough other things going on to not seem overly one-dimensional. Actually fairly enjoyable

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
From notes. Tasted in December 2012 from a capped 375mL bottle purchased at Louisville Beer Store during Zwanze Day 2012. Pours super red with a thick pink head that slowly recedes to leave average lace. The nose is super sour, fresh raspberry with lemon and a vinous white wine note. The flavor is not as sour as I expected, but nicely balanced with tons of tart raspberry and a dry lemon peel note. The body is medium and tannic with average carbonation and a long tart raspberry and lightly bitter finish.

0,375L bottle at the overpriced beer tasting, thanks for sharing guys! Pours red with pinkish head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is raspberries, sour, and some sweetness. Flavor follows the nose. Finish is long tart. Overall: ok brew.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Quelle magnifique odeur!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20

375ml bottle (the 200e of overpriced shit session)
Pleasantly raspberry aroma, nice sourness. Nice red, small head. Taste has pleasant simple lambic base, but the fruit is very mellow. Sharpness is nce in the palate. Overpriced vote: 5/7.
