tectactoe (1658) - Michigan, USA - AUG 19, 2014
Bottle: Hazy amber-ish body with more golden edges, covered with a foamy white head that reduces to a chunky collar in due time. Oooh, a very nice aroma up front, much more so than I expected. Nearly gueuze-like. Funky notes of horsey barnyard & mild sweatsock with a strong undercurrent of green apple skins, sharp citrus zest, white grape, musty oak, damp hay, & acidic stone fruits. Reminiscent of a Pinot Grigio in many ways as well. Very, very dry body. Each sip rips the moisture from your mouth. Sharp & moderately acidic citrus, stone fruit skins, notes of lemon-lime, sour green apple, musty oak, lactic acid, white grapes, & funky cellar floor. Some hybrid of white wine, gueuze, & fruited lambic. I wasn’t expecting much from this but it ended up being awesome. Hefty price at nearly 14$ for a 375 ml, but I’d buy this one again for sure.

Pours light golden with white head. Nose is very acidic, horse sweat and berries. Taste is pronounced green gooseberry, kiwi and yet sweet. Perfect body. This is how a sour ale is supposed to be!

12.7oz bottle, thanks to the Cisco reps for sharing! Half hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head, some loose bits of lace. Awesome funky oaky lambic nose. Get some pleasant gym sock like funk aroma in the nose. Medium body, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly slick finish. Nice moderate sour taste, light dry finish, very light sweet. Maybe a touch of fruitiness, I never tasted a gooseberry, but it’s kind of like lime and white grape, is what I’m getting here.
