Säuerlicher, wenig fruchtiger Beginn. Kaum aromatisch, konstante Säuerlichkeit. In Ordnung aber keine Stachelbeere... 9/8/8/8/8/8

Hazy gold, puffy white head laces well, drops quick, oily cap. Grainy, earthy nose, faintly green/juniper with light acidity. Heavy berry front palate, light plastic in the sticky mid with citric acid all over, Cantillon level leather and stable through the fizzy, bitter Iris like end. Berry well integrated with lambic elements, expressive and rounded with few flaws.

"Gooseberries added a unique flavir and light tartness to an otherwise similar-to-the-others spotan-ale. Yellow/orange color, similar feel to the others, good balance, but otherwise too expensive :)"

375 ml bottle from czar, thanks buddy. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Aroma is melon-flavored bubble gum. Really. Flavor is fruity, watermelon, vegetables, floral. Finish is dry and tart. Lingering fruity notes. Light to medium body, weak to average carbonation.

375 ml green bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.7%. Hazy deep golden to orange colour, moderate to low white head. Very strong aroma of farmhouse, white wine vinegar, oak, gooseberries and lemons. Sour flavour of gooseberries, lemons, brettanomyces and oak. Not too sweet, not too dry - nice.

Bottle: Hazy amber-ish body with more golden edges, covered with a foamy white head that reduces to a chunky collar in due time. Oooh, a very nice aroma up front, much more so than I expected. Nearly gueuze-like. Funky notes of horsey barnyard & mild sweatsock with a strong undercurrent of green apple skins, sharp citrus zest, white grape, musty oak, damp hay, & acidic stone fruits. Reminiscent of a Pinot Grigio in many ways as well. Very, very dry body. Each sip rips the moisture from your mouth. Sharp & moderately acidic citrus, stone fruit skins, notes of lemon-lime, sour green apple, musty oak, lactic acid, white grapes, & funky cellar floor. Some hybrid of white wine, gueuze, & fruited lambic. I wasn’t expecting much from this but it ended up being awesome. Hefty price at nearly 14$ for a 375 ml, but I’d buy this one again for sure.
