12.7oz bottle, thanks to the Cisco reps for sharing! Half hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head, some loose bits of lace. Awesome funky oaky lambic nose. Get some pleasant gym sock like funk aroma in the nose. Medium body, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly slick finish. Nice moderate sour taste, light dry finish, very light sweet. Maybe a touch of fruitiness, I never tasted a gooseberry, but it’s kind of like lime and white grape, is what I’m getting here.

Bottle. Poured ht orange color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate complex tart sour aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sour tart flavor with a medium sour finish of moderate duration. Solid sour brew.

375 ml bottle to snifter (2013 vintage). Looks good; a cloudy deep lambic orange with a touch of sediment and white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; funky/bretty and mildly tart with a pleasantly balanced fruit presence. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. One on the better Spontan varietals.

Pours golden orange with thin white head that dissipates quickly. Brett on the nose, citrus, lemon, gooseberry. Slight oak note. Brett funk up front, lemony tartness through the middle, finishes with some oak and gooseberry. Lil light on the body.

very sour, sharp, spiky carbonation, mid amber, not much aroma, long fruity finish with gooseberry making an appearance right at the end.

Bottle @ home 20140623. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma with lots of brett; almost orval-like, some fruit, cherries, lemon. Taste is oak, brett, citrus. Quite tart. Thin body. I would have wanted some more body or complexity to accommodate the quite offensive oak tannins. Feels like something is missing in the middle. Aroma is wonderful.

Cloudy golden color. Aroma of Brett with some fruit and cheese; medium to high acidity, although well brewed.

24/V/14 - 37.5cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Procrastinated Spontan Gent Tasting - BB: 28/V/23 (2014-550)

Clear orange beer, aery off-white head, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: bit dirty, sourish, funky, some chlorine. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour, white grapes, lemony, funky, bit grassy. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, tannins, sour, lemon juice, more sour. Was expecting more fruity flavours from this one.
