3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample from bottle. Aroma discreet, of harsh malts. Taste is fairly sour, the grape is mostly in the finish, but very pleasant.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light crispy palate, semi dry. Light sourness, a little wood. Just a sublte hint of grape! Okay - more grape would have been good!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2013 Bottle @ NK Saluhall. Pale golden colour with a quickly disappearing head. Aroma is light, fruit, grapes. Flavour wasn’t what I expected at all. Much like a white wine. A little sour. Strong flavour of grapes.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a bubbly white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of musty funk that is backed by a dry green grape note. Flavor starts with sour and dry green grape and is joined by a nice earthy/barnyard funk note.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a deep golden straw with some hazing. Decent white head hangs in there for a while. Aromas show citric acidity and just a little earthiness, Taste is dominated once again with a citrus type sourness. Medium mouthfeel. Not the best of the serioud but not too bad all the same.

Sample at SBWF 2012.
A bit hazy orange with a medium, white head. Nice and fresh with green apples, grape, funk, yeast, brett and with a dry finish. A tasty one.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
First Lambic beer to rate, so here goes nothing. I’m comparing this to Lindemans Gueuze Cuvée René.... so again I’m a bit unsure about how to approach this rating. Aroma is mostly acetic, with the slightest touch of fruit. The beer appears a cloudy and a bit red, lots of carbonation bubbles, with a small head. Taste is fairly complicated. Starts off sharp and sour, turns a bit sweet, with lots of tingly sour bites throughout each sip. The after taste is mildly sour, with some apple and grape flavours. This beer has about 3 or 4 changes throughout the sip, but is constantly surrounded by sourness. Palate is light and carbonated. The acid gives a tingle to the tongue and mouth. Impressed to try a non-Belgian lambic.
