2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Figured what the hell. Pours a ever so slightly hazed orange amber color with a big fluffy white head, gotta say it looks nice. I can smell this things from about a foot away; funky, yeast, lemon, and a slight coffee note but the coffee really is secondary to the funky notes. Sour start gives way to a bitter lasting flavor. Grapefruit mixed with bitterness. Overall, meh, not very good.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours cloudy golden with an attractive off-white head and a fruit and coffee aroma. It tastes like a traditional gueuze with a lot of coffee mixed in. This is a strange mix of flavors that doesn’t work very well. Nevertheless, it is worth trying just for the novelty.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at the Anderson, Fortrose. It pours golden yellow, with an orangey hue and thin white head. The nose is floral (particularly daisy), light vinegar, oxo cubes, wood and instant coffee. The taste is orange citrus fruit, whitecurrant, light vinegar, mouldy wood, musty, light roast and lasting instant coffee flavours, with dryness in the finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and soft mouth-feel. Interesting for sure, but I wouldn’t rush back for another anytime soon....

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden coloured. Unclear. Dense off white head. Aroma of coffee, sourness, earth, leather. flavour of unroasted coffee light sourness, leather light barnyard. medium bodied. Ends sour and coffee. I liked this combination for something interesting once in a while. Probably stick to coffee stouts and straight lambics most of the time though.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
The sniff, the first sip, this is way too much to take in, too process, too bloody weird, eventually you get around to it & it is not as successful or awesome as I had hoped // BBF 02.04.2022 //375 ml. green bottle, capped but not corked as the others // different type of drawing than the rest and for once I do like this artists drawing // colour is darker than you would expect it to be, the coffee has clearly coloured this one, clear real amber, solid head, a great if this would have been a real lambic // the smell takes the longest getting used to, it was almost gone before I could get back to smelling it, vegetable & strong mixed with champagne and used coffee filters, it is kind of sweet with some tart lemon, it is too much to take really // this tastes kind of like timmermans geuze ran through a coffee filter or something, the first sip is always very sparkling and than it kind of eases down, strongly tart lemon but the whole doesn’t feel very tart or sour, bit sweet, grapefruit, tangerines. vegetables, followed by used coffee filters, the coffee fils like finely ground pieces or ashes or something, it feels to fine, like specks, it is both bitter herb. roast, bitter as well as sweet, herbal, tart lemon but not per se tart or sour // lively carb at first with miniature coffee grounds floating around body or some thing, miniature grainy coffee // only partially work, not bad but not terribly invigorating either // needs more work like a double coffee with cream and lambic version or something or maybe this simply cannot work

0.375 l bottle from Bierkompass. Hazy deep golden color. Aromas of cold grassy coffee, tobacco, tart grapefruit and citrus. Taste of cold coffee and grapefruit juice. Like someone had poured tobacco ash and cold coffee into lambic.
